Justin Bieber, Amy Poehler, Bruno Mars, and Chris Colfer Top ‘Time 100 List’

Where else would celebrities such as Blake Lively and Justin Bieber rub shoulders with controversial figures as Iraqi strongman Muqtada al-Sadr and French fascist Marine Le Pen? “TIME Magazine” has released their list of 100 important people for this year – The annual count of the people who, for better or worse, make our world fascinating and includes an essay by their mentors. Facebook NOT Shutting Down

Relax. You will still be able to be informed that your best friend found $12 in the wash and your great Aunt Tootsie likes your status update of “I love mojitos and pool boys.”

A rumor that started at the hands of The Weekly World News stated that Mark Zuckerberg wants his “old life back” has ever Facebook fiend preparing for the Y2K of the social network. Rumors are that the service will shut down on March 15. Combine that BS with CNN’s published opinion piece by Goldman Sachs on the “beginning of the end” for Facebook…you have a rumor that will spread like Paris Hilton.

It’s another hoax. The site, which recently eclipsed Google, faced a smiliar shutdown rumor in 2007. The previous hoax sourced a bandwidth problem for the for the end of Facebook.

Time Magazine Person of the Year Is Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg! The creator of Facebook was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year.

Wait…is this 2008? Did I time warp? Anyhoo, Mark was crowned the mag’s person of the year despite many rants that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange should be given the honor. Commenters over at Time’s site have a case of the angries and hitting Ctrl+ALT+CANCELSUBSCRIPTION.

Did I miss something? Does the award come with a year supply of Crispix, an evening alone on a remote island with Bear Grylls or the 34th Street Large Treesh handbag in red from Kate Spade? (All on my Christmas list in case you need gift ideas.) If not, then really I doubt it will make that much of an impact on society.
