Michael Sheen and Rachel McAdams Take Romance Public – PHOTOS

I don’t know why, but I am all over this new romance alert: “Twilight Saga” star Michael Sheen and “The Notebook” star Rachel McAdams have made their budding romance public.

As The Dame herself reported last month , Sheen and McAdams had eyes only for each other after the screening of the film “Beautiful Boy,” adding to the rumors that the two were dating.

Now, US Weekly as snapped a pic of the two walking hand-in-hand in McAdams’s hometown of Toronto (OK, she is from London, Ontario which is close!).

“It’s the first time McAdams, 31, and Sheen, 41, have made their long-rumored romance public…after being spotted making out at the Toronto Film Festival.”

Sheen was once married to actress Kate Beckinsale. The two share a daughter, Lilly. McAdams is known for her long-term relationship with my boyfriend, Ryan Gosling.

Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen Dating ?! – PHOTOS

You know in Hollywood when you’re a celebrity and seen out with a member of the opposite sex it automatically means you are hooking up. If you actually share a meal together then that further translates to plans of beach weddings and adopting a Cambodian baby. So, it’s no surprise that when Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen were seen together the rumor mill went into overdrive with rumors they are dating.

However, a loose lipped source told Lainey Gossip that Rachel and Michael only had eyes for each other after the ‘Beautiful Boy’ premiere. They spent most of their time one on one at the afterparty at Cheval.

“They went to sit together on a couch and kept talking and not talking to anyone else. And then together they went over to the bar to talk some more. On the way they ran into others, and talked to those others together, and after getting more drinks they went back to their couch and kept talking and new others came and went while they continued to not be apart.

And that’s not usually just a friend thing. That’s a thing thing. By the time I left, they’d been together like that for over an hour. So of course I asked around. Heard from a couple of sources yesterday that it’s early days in the courtship but they’re definitely checking each other out.”

I HIGHLY doubt this one. Sheen is currently engaged so unless he is going the way of Tiger Woods/Vanilla Gorilla we can assume it’s work thing. They are both involved in the upcoming film, “Midnight in Paris.”

Tim Burton’s ‘Alice In Wonderland’ Trailer – See It Here!

It doesn’t come out until March 2010, yet Tim Burton’s trailer for his much anticipated “Alice in Wonderland” feature film is blowing up YouTube.

The movie stars a plethora of Hollywood’s who’s-who (including Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, and “New Moon’s” Michael Sheen). However, like all Burton films, the lead belongs to Johnny Depp-the last of the dying breed of movie stars.

We brought you pictures of the cast a while ago (see those again by clicking here). What do you think? Like all Burton films, I am totally creeped out. However, I had nightmares for a year after seeing Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers video for ‘Don’t Come Around Here No More’. This may have something to do with it. Seriously-she turns into a cake and they cut and serve her. That’s even too twisted for me.

Michael Sheen Cast as Aro Volturi in ‘New Moon’ – Photos

It was reported Sunday that British actor Michael Sheen has landed the role of Aro in the “Twilight” sequel, “New Moon”. Sheen, who is best known for his roles as Tony Blair in “The Queen” and David Frost in “Frost/Nixon” was eagerly pursued by “New Moon” director Chris Weitz.

Via The Daily Mail:

“Sheen, 40, who made his name with uncannily realistic portrayals of well-known figures in Oscar-winning films…will get his biggest pay [check] yet, a reported £5 million, to star in ‘New Moon’.”

This comes on the cusp of further “New Moon” casting updates. Read about the actors playing the Wolf Pack here and the actress chosen to play Emily (and photos from the “New Moon” set) by clicking here.

If you don’t know Sheen from his award winning movies, you may know him as Lucian, the Lycan (or as Twilighters would say, werewolf) in the “Underworld” films. It was while making “Underworld” that Sheen met, fell in love with, and knocked-up actress Kate Beckinsale. They had a short romance before she dropped Sheen for “Underworld” director Len Wiseman. The two have a daughter.

For those of you out there who aren’t British, £5 million is a little over $7 million US. “New Moon” stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will each earn a reported $10 million. Though no information has been released regarding earnings for Taylor Lautner, whose role in “New Moon” is significantly greater than that of Sheen’s, we can assume it is less than $7 million.

What do you think Twilighters? Is Summit paying Sheen too much for such a small role? Or does he deserve the money due to his acting acclaim and notoriety?

It’s an Underworld Weekend!

This weekend’s new movies are not looking too bad. I personally have enjoyed the “Underworld” series, so I am rather stoked for the new edition. Now, as a warning to all die-hard fans, Selene is not in this one, as it is a prequel. But since the Kate Beckinsale’s husband is Len Wiseman, the director of the film, I am betting she might make a cameo at the end, to set up her story. Just sayin’.

Opening this weekend is:
1. “Underworld: Rise of the Lyans”
2. “Hotel for Dogs” (barf)
3. “Inkheart”
4. “Dark Knight” in IMAX theatres

Ok, so maybe over-estimated this weekends movies. “Underworld” looks awesome, but “Inkheart” looks like its standard Brandon Fraser cheesy (I really believe he looks for movies that have a specific cheese value) and “Hotel for Dogs“, which might look cute for some, but for me, it gives me flashbacks of “Nancy Drew”, and those, my friend, are not pretty.

“Underworld” is centering on the the origins of the feud between the vampires (Death Dealers) and werewolves (Lycans). Some of the back story was revealed in the first movie of the series, but this one goes in-depth and shows the relationship between Lucian and Sonja. It stars Rhona Mitra, Michael Sheen, and Bill Nighy.

“Inkheart” is about a father who has the ability to bring characters from books to life when reading the books aloud. Of course he accidently brings evil people to life and sets off a series of antics. It stars Brandon Fraser (of course), but shockingly Paul Bettany and Andy Serkis.

“Hotel for Dogs” is the heartwarming tale of a group of kids who find an abandoned hotel and start taking care of stray dogs in it. In its official description, the hotel becomes “a magical dog paradise”, but my favorite line is :

When barking dogs make the neighbors suspicious, Andi and Bruce use every invention they have to avoid anyone discovering ‘who let the dogs in.’

*gags*

I predict “Underworld” will win this weekend’s box office, but I could be biased. Anyone want to contest my prediction?
