Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe – PHOTOS

Several actresses were bucking for the role of Marilyn Monroe in the upcoming film, ‘My Week with Marilyn.’ Michelle Williams was given the honor and here is a peek at the ‘Dawson’s Creek’ kid turned Golden Globe nominee.

Kate Hudson and Amy Adams were being considered for the role along with Michelle. Originally, Scarlett Johansson was said to have been in heavy talks for the role, but ended up turning it down. Contrasting reports state that while Johansson was being considered for the role, Michelle was the only actress that producers actually met with.

Olivia Wilde and Ryan Gosling Dating ?!

Newly single Olivia Wilde didn’t stay single for long – she’s now enjoying the company of Ryan Gosling! Last week the pair were spotted at a Mexican restaurant in downtown Cincinnati for what has been described as a “a cute friendly brunch”. The two were also spotted flirting at a Golden Globes afterparty held at the Beverly Hilton. And recently they were spotted at an aquarium on what appeared to be a date – complete with a video circulating the web in which you can reportedly see them holding hands and Ryan putting his hand on Olivia’s back.

Per E:

You can see Ryan, in a maroon sweater and blue baseball cap and Olivia, in a black hooded leather jacket, moseying around the aquarium together in the video, posted below.

Go to the 12-minute mark to see them walking around; they never leave each other’s sides.

During the video you’ll see what looks to us like some incognito hand-holding and a few grazes on Wilde’s back courtesy Mr. Gosling.

Wilde just split from husband Tao Ruspoli, so she is back on the prowl, while Gosling has most recently been linked to Blake Lively and Michelle Williams. Interesting to hear, and they could be a great match, but we’ll see what comes of it! These Hollywood relationships never seem to last long anyways.

Oscars 2011 Fashion: Best and Worst Dressed – PHOTOS

The Academy Awards is the highlight of awards season. A celeb’s garb at the Oscars can make or break their fashion icon status in just one night. Sure, winning that naked gold little man is what the night’s supposed to be about, but even if you loose at least you look damn good. Here are the Fashion Winners for the night… (You can click HERE for the 2011 Oscars Winners List…)

Mila Kunis – She wore an airy lavender lace gown that hugged her body in all the right places. Elie Saa created this dress that was easily one of my favorites and will no doubt be on several best dressed lists.

Jennifer Hudson looked amazing in her Versace. Camera and tv hues affected just about every red color palate that walked the carpet. I believe Hudson’s gown was a tangerine masterpiece. I typically avoid any color in the orange family, but this was by far one of the best dresses on the red carpet. She will be fighting Kunis for the place as Best Dressed. It’s a tough call.

Gwyneth Paltrow – As much as the mere mention of GOOP sends my eyes rolling followed by exasperated sighs, Paltrow’s look was refreshing in the sea of Bumpit filled updos and gowns with trains. Her metallic Calvin Klein was modern. (The fact that her mother is Blythe Danner helped.)

Amy Adams will be present on most best dressed lists with her gorgeous L’Wren Scott dress. The navy blue against her hair made her pop on the carpet and drew your eyes.

Honorable Mentions…

Michelle Williams‘ pearly Chanel dress worked wonders with her platinum super short locks without washing her out.

Natalie Portman wore a purple/wine colored gown that downplayed her growing baby bump but still looked chic. The Rodarte creation will probably find it’s way to several best dressed lists.

Halle Berry chose a champagne toned Marchesa dress that will also make it’s way to many best dressed lists.

Sandra Bullock embraced the red dress trend that was a popular choice this year. Her Vera Wang gown was beautiful, but didn’t outshine her competition.

Penelope Cruz‘s dress put me on the fence. I love that she is proud of her post baby figure and went with such a bold choice, but this flaming red gown looks more like an ice dancer’s costume. Regardless, she still looked fantastic.

Reese Witherspoon was channeling Julia Roberts simple black Valentino number from a few years back, but her dress in comparison to the aforementioned eye-catching garbs looked boring.

On the Fence…

I had to add a place for Cate Blanchett. I adore her and her fearless sense of style, but this Givenchy gown has qualities I love and hate. The front has too much of a messy bib quality, but the back has playful and skin revealing structure. The pale pink/purple hue is a gorgeous color on her, but the fake sleeves are such a head smacker. You will find her on both best and worst dressed lists today as many others will be split between worshiping it’s risky integrity and hating on it due to the odd nature. Yet, there is still something about it I love.

Oh Honey, No…

Nicole Kidman is a statuesque beauty that towers over everyone on the carpet. So why she gave herself a kimono battleship hip look is beyond me. It covered her lovely figure and looked unpolished. Dior is typically one of my favorites and never as safe as say…Calvin Klein…but this had to send Tim Gunn’s tender fashion sense into fits.

Scarlett Johansson wore a carpet clashing red/magenta hue. First mistake. Pair that with the lace and the ill fit around her chest and we have a rejected Victoria Secret design.

Melissa Leo‘s Marc Bouwer gown will also be a repeat on the worst dressed. It was an Elvis meets Star Wars. Never a good fashion marriage.

Carey Mulligan Nabs ‘Great Gatsby’ Role

The adorable spokesperson for Best Western sweet potato fries has won the role that Abbie Cornish, Keira Knightley, Michelle Williams, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman and Amanda Seyfried were all fighting over like it was the last cheeseburger on Earth. (Damn, now I am hankering for a double double. Stickers and 10 points to anyone who brings me one.) Carey Mulligan is Daisy Buchanan in the remake of ‘The Great Gatsby.’

Via Deadline:

Filmmaker Baz Luhrmann has found his Daisy Buchanan. He has officially given the starring role in The Great Gatsby to Carey Mulligan, the Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Never Let Me Go star who’ll play the manipulative heroine when Luhrmann starts production on his adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald literary classic.

He called her on her cell phone to deliver the news that she will share the silver screen with Leonardo DiCaprio (Jay Gatsby) and Tobey Maguire (Nick Carraway). Carey was at the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Awards Dinner with Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour. She reportedly broke down in tears after finding out she was going to get to movie hump Leo. I am guessing Karl and Anna looked at her, rolled their eyes and gave a half-assed clap with a forced smile.

Ryan Gosling-Michelle Williams Film Slapped With NC-17 Rating

Holy bologna kittens!

In an interesting turn of events, the much anticiapted and critically acclaimed (thus far) film ‘Blue Valentine’ was just slapped with an NC-17 rating by the Motion Picture Association of America.

‘Valentine,’ which stars my boyfriend Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams, tells the tale of a young coupld who fall in and then out of love. Both Gosling and Williams have been creating huge Oscar buzz since the film premiered at Sundance in January, but the decision to give this film the most critical rating possible is leaving many who’ve seen the film in wonder.

Via Deadline:

“I saw Blue Valentine when it premiered in Park City. It is a powerful, worthy film, and the NC-17 is an absolute head-scratcher. I’m told the rating was given for a scene in which the characters played by Gosling and Williams try to save their crumbling marriage by spending a night away in a hotel. They get drunk and their problems intensify when he wants to have sex and she doesn’t, but will to get him off her back. That hurts his pride and the result is an upsetting scene that makes you squirm, but is an honest one that establishes clearly that this couple has nothing left and isn’t going to make it because love has turned into contempt. There is barely any nudity in the scene, as I recall (though I haven’t seen it since last January) and there is no violence. It was hardly a moment that would make you think, well here comes an NC-17.”

The Weinstein Company acquired the rights to ‘Valentine’ after it debued at Sundance. It’s no secret that Harvey Weinstein is known for using the MPAA rating system to generate buzz for a movie.

However, with Oscar buzz already surrounding this film, it’s hard to believe that anyone was behind such a move.

Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams W Magazine Spread – PHOTOS

I love me some Ryan Gosling in the morning. Michelle is swell too, but nothing says Good Morning! Like some Gosling looking like sex on a stick.

Michelle Williams and her ‘Blue Valentine’ costar Mr. Gosling nabbed the cover of W magazine for a “Boy Meets Girl” theme that features couples from upcoming romance injected films. Justin Timberlake and Rooney Mara are also in the magazine with Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.

You know when I read this all I saw was RYAN GOSLING and Blah Blahams, Justin Blahlake and Blahey Blaha, JAKE GYLLENHAAL and Blah Blahway. Which then translated into impure thoughts.

Click HERE for the details on their rumored off screen romance.

Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling Hook Up

So sayeth Star mag. They reportedly had some sparks flying while they filmed ‘Blue Valentine’ and seem cuddly during press events. So naturally they are making sweet, sweet celebrity love.

According to the mag, after doing a nine hour photoshoot Michelle Williams (not the Destiny Child one) and Ryan Gosling had dinner together after Michelle tucked Matilda in for the night.

Per Star Via Celebitchy:

“Blue Valentine costars Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling’s very chummy relationship had tongues wagging at the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals earlier this year. Now the two, both 29, have set off sparks in Toronto too!

“Michelle’s there working on Take This Waltz, and Ryan flew up to for their magazine piece on Blue Valentine,” an insider says. “But he also was obviously thrilled to spend time with her.”

After the nine-hour shoot, Michelle went home to tuck daughter Matilda, 4, into bed – but she soon headed out to share an intimate dinner with Ryan at Swan restaurant says the insider.

“They couldn’t seem to get enough of each other.”

Of course! Who could their hands to themselves when out with Ryan Gosling? I’d be attempting a game of grab ass during the photoshoot, breakfast, dinner and nap time.

Ryan Gosling Talks Love, Sex and Michelle Williams – Video

Ryan Gosling has been doing some press for his upcoming film, “Blue Valentine.” The film has started to garner force as in has premiered at Sundance and purchased by Weinstein Co.

The “Notebook” star talked about his current relationship status admitting he was not in love. He also talked about working with Michelle Williams, his friends’ sex lives and being mistaken for Ryan Reynolds.

This man could talk about cornstarch for an hour and I’d listen intently. Of course, I’d be picturing him naked, but I’d still be listening.

Michelle Williams Talks About Heath Ledger, Spike Jonze Break Up in Vogue – Photos

michelle-williams-vogue-october-2009-cover

Michelle Williams is rocking a pixie cut on the October issue of Vogue. The former “Dawson’s Creek” actress shared the screen with Heath Ledger and it forever changed her life. After loosing her once fiancé and father of her child she rarely opens up about the loss of Heath. Currently she is doing her best to pick the pieces up and move on. She talks intimately wit the mag across subjects about dating again. Williams was involved with director Spike Jonze after she began to move on from Heath, but the couple broke up.

“The timing was impossible. I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.” And dating with a kid? “I obviously don’t know how to do it.”

After keeping as much dignity and grace involving the man she will forever be tied to, Michelle explained her hatred of interviews post Ledger’s passing.

“I didn’t know what my boundaries were for a long time, which made interviews feel very unsafe. I can talk about grief, because that’s mine; about single parenting; about trying to balance work and kids. But what I don’t have to talk about is what happened between Heath and me in our relationship.”

A few more highlights from the Vogue October issue Michelle Williams interview:

Coping after Ledger’s untimely death: “I was holding it together by a string and a paper clip in the fall and winter. I didn’t know if I could keep it all together… You console yourself by saying it’s all a deepening process. But it’s wired. After the first year, the pain is less intense; it’s less immediate. But the magical thinking goes away too. And that’s a whole new reckoning. But every time I really miss him and wonder where he’s gone, I just look at her [Matilda.]”

The happy times: “‘Brokeback Mountain” was an unrepeatable moment in time, a very charmed time in my life. I was in love; I was in a movie I was proud to be a part of, and with a beautiful brand-new baby. Everything was good in that moment.”

Dealing with the paparazzi presence: “It’s because of this tragedy that there’s more paparazzi. That is hard to be graceful and understanding about… It’s hard to be the man and the woman in that [paparazzi] situation. Heath always used to do that for us.”

Falling in love: “I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.”

What the future holds: “I feel hopeful and grateful. For a while I thought we had lost everything. It makes you want to love better and liver better.”

Vanity Fair Claims Heath Ledger Was Married and Tried to Sabotage Role in ‘Dark Knight’

vanity-fair-august-2009-heath-ledger

In the August issue of Vanity Fair, the magazine picks at the scab of Heath Ledger. Upon the recent plethora of celebrity loss, the mag once again digs at the actor. The cover features and old photo of Heath smiling and looking healthy with the bolded all capital letters claiming it’s recount of “Heath Ledger’s Final Days” while the spread inside depicts more happy photos of him with the title “The Last of Heath.”

Vanity Fair went back into his personal life and issues while reexamining what led to his death. Their first mistake was reopening a wound over a year old and their second was claiming Heath and Michelle Williams were married. Later, the mag edited and corrected their flubs mentioning their “failed marriage.”

Via Vanity Fair:

“Terry Gilliam—Ledger’s friend and mentor, and the director of Doctor Parnassus—agrees with Pecorini that the romance between Ledger and Williams began to unravel during the Oscar campaign for Brokeback Mountain. “The whole machinery started growing up around them,” Gilliam says. “That was the moment when it changed, when he realized, Uh-oh. We perceive the world differently. He didn’t care about things like those awards.”

According to Pecorini, “Heath was always blaming himself [about the relationship], asking, What did I do wrong?” Adds Gilliam, “Because he’s a much nicer person than I am, he really thought he could do the right thing. He was trying to be decent and graceful, give her whatever she wanted—the house, every fucking thing. But once it started going south, it went very quickly. He was overwhelmed by lawyers, and there were more and more of them, as if they were breeding. I said, ‘This is bullshit. Heath, just end it. Get out—it’s bad. You’ve got to just walk away from it.’ The stakes kept going up. He wouldn’t listen to any of us.”

As Ledger’s relationship with Williams unraveled, and the pair started dealing with lawyers and custody issues, according to Gilliam, Ledger fell apart. “The thing that really made Heath snap” was legal wrangling over his daughter, Matilda, Gilliam says. “He said, ‘Just f**k all of you! I’m not giving Michelle anything.’” Recalls another source, when it came to Matilda’s care, “there were definitely heated conversations, and emotions were high.” (Ledger’s lawyer declined to comment on any aspect of the separation or custody dispute.)”
