Ashton Kutcher has been busy lately, you know, filling Charlie Sheen‘s shoes and occupying the beds of people that are not Demi Moore. So busy, in fact, that his pranking days have taken up a lonely spot on the back burner. His MTV show ‘Punk’d’ may have gone the way of the dinosaurs, but expect a rebirth in 2012. MTV and Kutcher are relaunching Punk’d, only this time there will be an array of celebrity hi-jinking-hosts.
Hosts like Justin Beiber and Miley Cyrus!
Last night Barbara Walters ‘Most Fascinating People of 2010′ special aired. Barbara sat down with celebrities like Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Oprah, Sandra Bullock, and the entire cast of MTV’s hit reality show ‘Jersey Shore.’
I couldn’t believe that they made this years list, but I guess it makes sense. Who were these people before the Jersey Shore? And what makes them so popular and able to earn up to $10 million a year? You must see the video – Barbara learns all about the G-T-L and “smushing!”

This is, by far, the most ridiculous thing I have heard today. In less than 30 days Snooki will be stuffed in a ball and dropped 50 feet!
Per E!:
Jersey Shore’s one-name wonder plans to steal herself away from the clubs long enough this New Year’s Eve to curl up inside a ball dropping in New York City’s Times Square as the clock ticks down to midnight.
I guess she pops out when she gets to the bottom? Sorta like a twisted, tanned-up jack-in-the-box. Nice!

Amber Portwood from MTV’s “Teen Mom” was being investigated for several assaults on her baby daddy, Gary Shirley, that were caught on MTV cameras and aired on the network. Now she has been officially charged with 2 felonies and 1 misdemeanor and could lose the baby. Portwood’s home state of Indiana considers domestic abuse in the presence of a child felonious assault, which happened twice with in her attacks on Gary. The third attack occurred while the couple’s baby, Leah, was elsewhere.
Per E!:
“I didn’t hit Gary in front of Leah so there are no felony charges,” she told HollywoodLife.com. “None of this is true, there’s nothing against me. They can’t charge me if they don’t have proof.”
All of the assaults were reportedly caught on MTV cameras and the raw footage is in custody and will be used in the trial. If convicted she could spend 3 years in jail and up to $10,000 fine. Not to mention, they will take her baby away ASAP.

It could be one of the most epic rap albums in history! Jay-Z and Kanye West are teaming up to release a joint album. It originally started as a single song collaboration but quickly turned into a melding of genius minds – Their ‘Watch the Throne‘ project has grown into a full-length album. West originally announced this summer that he and his mentor were recording a five-song EP together. But in a new video interview with MTV, West revealed they have enough music for a longer release.
Per MTV:
“We putting out a whole album now,” Kanye told MTV News’ Sway Calloway. “We had done five [songs] so far, but then a few of them kind of were out there, and I put them on my album. Sorry, Jay. But we got some more, and we’re going to the South of France at the end of the month to just record new ideas. But we’ll probably be done with the album in a day.”
No other details have been released about the project but I can’t wait to hear it put together. This could be one of the greatest rap albums ever, or a giant flop which happens a lot when to heavyweights come together.

Isn’t it funny when celebrities decide to go outside the comfort zone of their chosen profession and try something new? Longoria is hosting this year’s “MTV Europe Music Awards”, and she raps in the new promo with lyrics like ‘I’m a latte/On a hot day/Fast and cheap like Maserati/But when I’m talkin’/Let me make it clear/Pay attention boys, yo my eyes are up here.’ Maybe she should stick to her day job?
Per People:
“I’ve already had such a blast working on the 2010 MTV EMAs,” the actress tells PEOPLE, “and I’m not even in Madrid yet! It was so much fun to just let loose for this promo and unleash my inner rap artist.”
It’s nice to see her try, but she’s no Missy Elliot. Ok, but I do love her fearless attitude about the whole thing! …I also love that she boasts about using her celebrity to “order French toast anytime.” Honestly, if fame can’t get you French toast on demand, then what’s the point?

Ashton Kutcher is planning to revive the hidden-camera reality show “Punk’d” for MTV, potentially with the Justin Bieber as the host behind the pranks. The show’s creators/ executive producers, original host Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, are back to executive produce the new installment through their company Katalyst. MTV and Kutcher’s production company declined to comment on the reports, so is the press being “Punk’d”? Well, probably not. “Punk’d” is the type of show that is best produced in secret – if it’s too well known, the celebrities who are the target of the tricks might be in on the jokes.
Per Rolling Stone:
Sources tell Vulture that MTV has long hoped to revive the program after Kutcher, who was executive producer as well as host, pulled the plug on the show in 2007. Bieber is said to be on the verge of a deal to host the reboot, and will likely take part in the first series of pranks.
Well, Bieber is no stranger to pranks. He had recently participated in a balloon throwing incident on state troopers which could have ended with Bieber in jail if his body guard had not intervened. That’s definitely Punk’D material.
For those Bieber fans who are too young to remember the beginning of the decade, Punk’d ran for 69 episodes over four years before it was taken off air in 2007. The show has played pranks on dozens of celebrities, including Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Katie Holmes and Matthew Perry. The premiere date for the new installment of Punk’d is yet to be set but the show has been quietly gearing up for production and will possibly be launched in 2011. We now have a whole new class of celebs who weren’t even on our radar when Punk’d exited three years ago. So get ready Bristol Palin, Snooki, and the entire cast of Glee: You’re probably about to get Bieber’ed!

Here it is kittens: Kanye West’s new video entitled “POWER.”
This religious themed video is the second major rap video to drop this week along with Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna (see that video HERE).
Marco Brambilla, the director of the video, explains his motivation to The Hollywood Gossip:
“I’ve always wanted to do something that would visualize power, to do a portrait of what power would look like in a sort of timeless way and being able to have him framed in that portrait, essentially doing a video portrait of Kanye as a symbol of power, was very consistent with my art practice and what I explore in my artwork.”
Sorry Marco, Imma let you finish, but I need to say that I thought Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.
Eminem’s collaboration with Rihanna has become a fan favorite from his album, “Recovery.” The official music video for ‘Love the Way You Lie” is due to premiere at 9 PM tonight on MTV just before “Jersey Shore.”
Until then you will have to enjoy photos of Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan starring in the video. The two play a couple who are involved in an abusive relationship which is obviously what the song is about.

Nick Thomas, the singer, guitarist, and mastermind behind “The Spill Canvas”, recorded his first songs at age 15 while growing up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and honed his largely acoustic-based style playing solo shows in and around his hometown. Calling himself The Spill Canvas, Thomas released the raw and emotive “Sunsets and Car Crashes,” which earned him eager fans around the country.
