Gwen Stefani says she’s looking ahead to her future after she’s done making music, revealing that fashion is her back up plan for when she’s too old to jump around on stage. Outside of her solo career or fronting “No Doubt,” Stefani launched her successful “L.A.M.B.” brand and “Harajuku Lovers” line, which she now describes as being her “backup plan”.
Per Star Pulse:
She tells InStyle magazine, “I made so many clothes growing up, and I used to do my own costumes, all I would do was just daydream about what I was going to make. I wanted so badly to have a back-up plan for when I’m not performing anymore. Let’s be realistic: It’s not going to be like this forever. So I wanted to continue having something creative to do.”
Must be nice when your back up plan is being an awesome, successful fashion designer. It seems like the natural choice for Stefani, who is probably known just as well for her signature style as she is for her hit songs.
