Paula Abdul Says She’s Never Been Drunk – Video

It’s a new year and Paula Abdul wants to set the record straight. During her time as an ‘American Idol‘ judge, many people thought she was drunk or on some sort of drug because of her bizarre behavior. But Paula claims she’s never been drunk in her life. Check out the video for yourself. Maybe she’s just drunk during the interview with CBS News and she doesn’t know what she’s saying.

Per Us:

“I’ve never had a drinking problem, even though I’ve been in this business for quite some time,” Abdul said on CBS News’ Sunday Morning. “I’ve never physically been drunk in my life. I’ve never been drunk in my life! I don’t use recreational drugs — but I am goofy.”

Not drunk and no recreational drugs? Well, that doesn’t rule out being doped up on prescription pills! Do you believe her?

Paula Abdul Not Returning To ‘American Idol’

It’s official kittens. Paula Abdul will not be providing us with her slurred salutations and mascara laced tears any longer on ‘American Idol’.

That’s correct, producers managed to give Ryan Seacrest a butt-load amount of money to stay, that brought back Kara DioGuardi despite all my hate-mail asking them not to, and satisfied Simon Cowell’s wallet enough for a few more seasons…but alas, no Paula.

In true celeb fashion, Abdul announced that she would not return to the glorified karaoke contest via her Twitter.

Via E!:

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all…being a part of a show that I helped from day1 become an international phenomenon.”

Is it me, or did it go from sincere to snarl with that last little dig?

Fox then confirmed the former Laker Girl’s split from the show.

“Paula Abdul has been an important part of the American Idol family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show.”

Though neither side released exactly why Paula has chosen to depart, it has been widely speculated that she was upset with producers’ decision to pay her little compared to her male (and Seacrest) counterparts.

Paula Abdul Demands $20 Million to Return to Idol

And a lifetime supply of Apricot-cha Gotcha lip gloss and for vicodin to made into a liquid form merely for convenience.

My favorite “American Idol” boozehound, Paula Abdul, is refusing to slur her words and make nonsensical comments on national television without being paid ridiculous amounts of cash to do so. I hereby volunteer to replace said boozehound. I will even work for snack packs and tequila.

Radar Online has learned exclusively that Paula is asking for a $20 million deal to come back to the hit Fox show – a demand that has been turned down so far.

Her manager David Sonenberg is playing tough, and probably made a few network execs squirm this weekend when he told the Los Angeles Times, “Very sadly, it does not appear she’s going to be back on Idol.”

Simon Cowell recently resigned with the promise of tufts from his furry moobies to stick out of the tops of his shirts. I am pretty sure Randy also resigned in exchange for gift certificates to K-Mart.

I say give her whatever she wants. Bitch wants a lifetime supply of highlighting caps from Sally’s Beauty supply and a money pit she can swim around in while high on some pill she found in the bottom of her purse…hand it over. This may translate to an American Idol boycott if this horrid injustice isn‘t corrected.

Paula Abdul Not Returning To American Idol!?!

Uh oh Kittens. It looks like Paula Abdul will not be returning as an American Idol judge next season. I know what you’re thinking: Who will do all the crying and spray the contestants with glitter and unnecessary compliments? Rest easy, they have Ryan Seacrest.

Abdul’s new manager recently did an interview with the Los Angeles Times and in it, he tells the reporter that AI producers haven’t even approached the former Laker Girl about renewing her contract.

Via Access Hollywood:

“I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful,” he said. “I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do. Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on ‘Idol.’”

This news comes on the heels of host Ryan Seacrest reportedly inking a 3-year $45 million dollar deal to return to the reality show and it is widely known that other AI judge Simon Cowell is currently in negotiations to renew his deal as well. Randy Jackson is already signed-on with the show through 2011. As for Kara DioGuardi? No one really seems to care.
