Kellan Lutz Angry Over Animal Cruelty Video On YouTube

A shocking and heartbreaking video of a giggling teenage girl hurling six puppies into a raging river in Bosnia made its way onto YouTube (it has since, thankfully, been pulled!), and now Kellan Lutz is speaking out about his anger and disgust over the video that has attracted international attention for the viciousness of her act, taking to Twitter to express his views.

“What is going on with the search for the girl throwing the puppies into the river?” Lutz, 25, tweeted Sunday. “I’ve never been so disgusted before. That video is so incredibly disturbing and plain out wrong.”
Lutz also praised “Transformer’s” Michael Bay for offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the teenager throwing the puppies.
“Heard Michael Bay put up a bounty for her or info leading to her arrest. Thank you for that, and everyone who is not standing for this. That cruelty and any cruelty to animals helpless or not is unacceptable. I can’t get the crying puppies out of my head.”
The Bosnian girl has been identified by police and faces up to $6,4000 in fines, thanks to a new animal protection law. The name of the girl, who is a juvenile, has not been released. But she was found after tips were received from animal protection groups in the country. Lutz couldn’t be happier, responding to the incident.
“I’m so happy that she has been found and even more grateful for the new law! Thank you all for taking a stand and using your voices against such actions as this. You all are my heroes!”
Lutz has been very active in the animal community. He’s made no secret about his love for animals, especially dogs. He has been pictured with his rescued dog Kola in PETA advertisements encouraging people to adopt a dog from animal shelters. It’s great when celebrities take a personal interest in charities and causes that need a face. Lutz is doing that for animal rights.

Peta nabbed the 82 year old Cloris Leachman for their “Let Vegetarianism Grow on You” campaign. Leachman is wearing a Project Runway-esque dress made of lettuce and cabbage leaves. She unveiled the new campaign in Times Square this morning.

George Clooney Flavored Tofu – WTF?

Please tell me this is a joke from Peta or something. Where’s Ashton Kutcher hiding in the bushes?
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has come up with a ‘super’ new idea to shill tofu. They are trying to get George Clooney on Team Peta to endorse “Clofu,” which would take perspiration from Clooney and inject the flavor into the food. So let me get this straight….they want SWEAT FLAVORED TOFU?!?!
According to the group’s President, Ingrid E. Newkirk, yes. The woman even wrote him for his permission and involvement.
“The technology actually exists to take your perspiration and make it into George Clooney-flavored tofu. We could do that and give the tofu away. Of course, your fans would swoon at the idea of eating CloFu, but what interests us most is that we would attract many people who don’t try tofu because they worry that it would be bland or that they wouldn’t know how to cook it. CloFu will help people be healthier and more environmentally friendly and will spare animals from being killed for the table.”
George’s response to all this nuttery…..
“As a mammal, I’m offended.”
This is why I love George and his penchant for hotel bar waitresses and stewardesses. I could just picture Clooney turning the hose on some crazy Peta mongers showing up at his door wanting to milk him.

NBC’s Banned PETA Vegetable Porn Super Bowl Ad – Video

Apparently NBC has no problem with torturing us with Jimmy Fallon , but soft core veggie porn is unacceptable. (Where is the justice?)
The network axed a Super Bowl commercial from PETA encouraging vegetarianism. NBC demanded an entire list of changes before they’d even consider airing the spot.

*licking pumpkin
*touching her breast with her hand while eating broccoli
*pumpkin from behind between legs
*rubbing pelvic region with pumpkin
*screwing herself with broccoli (fuzzy)
*asparagus on her lap appearing as if it is ready to be inserted into vagina
*licking eggplant
*rubbing asparagus on breast
I like that NBC is classy enough to use phrases like “screwing herself with broccoli” but suddenly becomes proper and talks about asparagus with more decorum.
Tim Gunn VS. Armani and Donna Karan

Tim Gunn is my boo and hero. He is pretty much the Jesus of Fashion. After working his way through Parsons as a teacher, he moved on to be Heidi Klum’s sidekick on “Project Runway.” From here he became more mainstream and captured my heart.
Gunn is bravely taking on fashion power houses Giorgio Armani and Donna Karan. He joined the celebrity movement to end the use of real fur. My boo narrated a video that featured footage of rabbits being skinned alive for their fur and foxes being electrocuted. He delicately attacks designers who still use genuine fur with his stunning vocabulary. Page Six reports his moving words:
“Any designer in the fashion industry who does not want to watch the PETA video and see exactly what happens to animals and how they’re treated and how the product that they use comes to the marketplace, I believe, is egregiously irresponsible.”
Armani and Karan were singled out due to their reneged promise of never using real fur again. Reps for Giorgio’s label have released as statement damning the video.
“Despite the fact that we have previously sold products made from animal fur, the Armani Group has now decided to renounce making such items with the exception of those in rabbit fur, the by-product of an animal that is a staple source of food . . . We must stress that PETA is exploiting our name to stir up public opinion without acknowledging that we actually include very few fur items in our collections, while certain competitors of ours base much of their business on furs.”
Meanwhile, Donna Karan, who was a guest on the last season of “Project Runway” simply stated:
“There is no fur in any of our lines for Fall 2009, and we currently have no plans to use fur.”
Her is a more horrifying image…Pamela Anderson and Tim Gunn fighting crime Peta style. It’s like two opposing forces of classiness mingling together for the sake of bunnies. Now that is a tale to tell the kiddies this holiday. Silicone Sally and Tiny Tim save the fluffies of the world in time to save Christmas.
