Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn Go Public with Relationship

Reese Witherspoon may have tied the knot over the weekend, but it wasn’t her “I dos” or her wedding gown that stole the spotlight. Scarlett Johansson is making news of her own by attending Witherspoon’s nuptials to Hollywood agent Jim Toth with Sean Penn as her plus one. The couple was rumored to have gone on a romantic getaway a few weeks back to Mexico but now it seems things have gotten a little more serious with them. Actually, when ScarJo was photographed with her foot in Penn’s lap, things became a little more clear, but that’s neither here nor there.

Scarlett and Sean had been rumored to be dating for awhile now, but going to the wedding on Saturday together the two made it official. According to Hollywood etiquette showing up together at an A-list wedding together is a huge step. Scarlett – who announced her separation from husband Ryan Reynolds last year after two years of marriage – is allegedly completely smitten with Sean and wants everyone to know they are dating.

Per PopEater:

“Scarlett is Jim’s client, but no one, including the bride, knew she would have turned up with Sean Penn,” a friend of Scarlett’s tells me. “Turning up at a wedding with your boyfriend is definitely a huge statement, especially that wedding. What it’s doing is announcing to the whole of Hollywood that they are serious.”

Their reps are keeping remarkably quiet about the alleged lovers relationship but rumors say they’re due to visit Haiti together sometime in the spring where Sean has been actively involved in relief assistance following the earthquake in 2010. Sean is super talented, but I wouldn’t call him sexy. He’s decent looking, but I think I just can’t seem to get the image of him playing Spicoli in ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High‘ out of my head. Clearly the 24-year age difference doesn’t faze them and they appear to be genuinely happy together, but how do you go from Ryan Reynolds to Sean Penn?!

Reese Witherspoon Getting Married Next Weekend

Reese Witherspoon has moved on from her failed marriage with Ryan Phillippe, and romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, and will be a Mrs. once again – Witherspoon will marry fiance Jim Toth next weekend (March 26th) at her home, reportedly planning an intimate “Southern-themed” wedding. While she is getting married, Phillippe is worrying if he knocked up some chick!

Per Radar Online:

It’s been reported that the couple will be keeping the wedding small — at least by Hollywood standards — inviting around 100 guests, and that “candles and flowers will be everywhere, in white and pastels, for an intimate feeling.”

Sounds magical! Witherspoon has reportedly been working with celebrity event planner Yifat Oren to plan the ceremony and there has been tons of speculation that she will walk down the aisle in a Monique L’huillier gown, especially since she was spotted in the designer’s Beverly Hills showroom earlier this year. The happy couple got engaged in 2010, when Toth proposed with a 4 carats diamond ring designed by William Goldberg. While she has been married before, this is his first time walking down the aisle. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal NOT Engaged

Amid speculation that the two are about to tie the knot, we are happy to report that Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are NOT engaged.

When this story came by on the ticker, our dear Dame grabbed her Grey Goose and locked herself in the closet. Come out love, it’s not true!

Witherspoon made the supreme single-celebrity mistake of being spotted out and about while sporting a gold ring on her left hand. And as you know, that’s all it takes for us gossip hounds to bare our fangs.

“Reese looked delighted, and she was definitely showing off the ring. She kept holding her finger up for people to see, she even flashed it around when she was getting in her car.”

However, Reese’s people were all over this, like sweat on Gyllenhaal’s ‘Prince of Persia’ abs.

“Witherspoon was seen in casual dress with a gold diamond ring on her left ring finger. A representative for the actress, however, said it is merely decorative.”

Dame, love, do you see? It’s decorate. He probably didn’t even buy it for her. I bet she bought it herself or stole it from a photo shoot, Lohan style.

We all know Jake, and his abs, only has eyes for you…and that Grey Goose.
