Robert Pattinson Shops for Action Film, Jackson Rathbone is Kid Friendly

Could Robert Pattinson be switching it up a bit – going from playing the heartthrob in movies to becoming to next big action star? Seems that way, as his ‘people’ are busy trying line up at least one top notch action flick for him to take on this year.

Per Examiner:

With all the rumors (and bogus ones at that) about Robert Pattinson possibly becoming the next James Bond or even starring in the upcoming fourth Spider-Man film, it seems there is definite interest within the Hollywood community to see Robert Pattinson take an action role.

While seeing Pattinson in the role of Bond? James Bond, 007, you know who I mean, would be interesting and quite the jump for his career, don’t look for it to happen anytime soon. During the London premiere of his movie “Remember Me,” Pattinson revealed that he’d entertain the role of James Bond if offered but also admitted that he isn’t very athletic and is “not good at running.” He also reminded the everybody that if the role of James Bond was offered, it wouldn’t be anytime soon saying, “Maybe in a few years.” With predecessors like Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery, and Daniel Craig, Pattinson would be a much younger James Bond but maybe they can revamp the movies like they are doing with the “Spiderman” movies. Speaking of which – As for the rumor that’s been going around that he could replace Tobey Maguire donning the Spidey costume in the reboot, Pattinson says it’s totally not true, although it’s the kind of thing he’d love to do because he likes the idea of “doing an action movie where you can never see your face, cause you don’t have to go to the gym and you don’t have to do any of your stunts and stuff.” However, don’t worry about Pattinsons’ career – his movie “Remember Me” was just released and is receiving high praises from fans despite the critics harsh reviews, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” is out in June, and he is currently filming “Bel Ami.” He is considered as hot property in Hollywood these days, so the Bond franchise would be lucky to have him!

Meanwhile, the other lesser talked about Cullen brother, Jackson Rathbone will be at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards tomorrow night with his co-star Nicola Peltz in support of their upcoming film “The Last Airbender.” Above is a promo spot for the awards show, featuring Jackson and Nicola.

Robert Pattinson’s ‘Remember Me’ Gets Terrible Reviews

remember-me-official-movie-poster

Robert Pattinson fans are going to be hunting down critics with their torches and sparkle encrusted pitchforks. So far Pattinson’s new film, “Remember Me,” has gotten some terrible reviews. It is also sitting at the 32% positive review rating (as of Friday at 3pm EST). So before you continue claiming that it has a 50/50 love/hate rating you can check out 45 negative reviews overshadowing the the 21 positive reviews in their entirety at Rotten Tomatoes. The film is also sitting at average rating of 4.6 out of 10. Ouch. Below are just some of the current critics comments. Keep in mind these are the opinions of the critics and not Hollywood Dame. Any further comments that attack me for the opinions of others will be deleted. In other words…don’t shoot the messenger kittens.

Washington Post: “In attitude, if not aptitude, Robert Pattinson in “Remember Me” comes across like a latter-day James Dean. Playing Tyler Hawkins — a bohemian child of privilege consumed by Oedipal rage — the “Twilight” hunk fills the screen with cigarette smoke, stubble and hooded green eyes, but little else.”

NY Daily: “But aside from the gifted young Jerins, everyone else seems to be wandering around in search of a movie. Even the filmmakers appear to realize there’s something lacking, which is the only reasonable explanation for a supremely misguided ending that — well, let’s just remember that the movie is set in late 2001.”

NY Times: “In Remember Me love means never having to say you’re sorry, particularly to the audience.”

LA Times: “But somewhere the heart that must anchor a romantic drama has gone missing. We don’t so much feel the relationships as see them.”

E! Online –“It’s very telling that during the film’s heaviest scenes—including the couple’s first kiss and the climax—the audience members as a press screening didn’t cry. They laughed.”

Rotten Tomatoes – ” Its leads are likeable, but Remember Me suffers from an overly maudlin script and a borderline offensive final twist.”

If I were one of these critics I be packing straight razors and body guard from hence forth.

New Music Friday – Sia

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, to use the name her musician parents gave her, already has a staggering track record. If her name itself isn’t familiar to millions, her voice undoubtedly is. In 2000, the Adelaide born singer scored a bolt from the blue Top 10 hit with her debut single “Taken For Granted.” Her debut album, “Healing Is Difficult,” arrived to similar cries of ´the next big R&B thing’. Then, to cap it all, she added her jazzy slurs to two tracks on “Zero 7’s” ‘Simple Things‘ album. She has written songs with her bassist Sam Dixon and Christina Aguilera for Christina’s forthcoming album. Sia confirmed on her website’s blog to have created four “beautiful” songs and calls Aguilera her “best friend.” The album is set for a Spring 2010 release, and includes collaborations with M.I.A., Santigold, and Le Tigre.

Her 2003 CD “Colour the Small One” spawned the singles “Breathe Me” and “Where I Belong“. In 2005, “Breathe Me” was beginning to receive international notice with appearances on the series finale of HBO’s “Six Feet Under” and the broadcast of the 2006 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The song is currently being used as the backing music in the tv spots for the movie “Remember Me” starring Robert Pattinson, out in theaters today. You can listen to the song above.

As Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart return from their BAFTA adventure, in which Robert supposedly confirmed they are dating (click HERE for that story), they were photographed in New York. Before they left London, they were spotted kissing by Nicolas Clark. The British politician saw Stewart and Pattinson kissing and even aired out his discovery on Twitter. Too bad he didn’t snap pics of them swapping sparkle-spit.

“In The Marquis of Granby with Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart.” A few hours later he added: “From what I saw just a couple of kisses on lips,” then added, “R+K were acting like a couple.”

Sparklepants is returning to NY to do press coverage for his upcoming film, “Remember Me.” Kristen tagged along and they both arrived in JFK with Rob’s best friend, Tom Sturridge (aka TomStu), trailing behind. Robert even carried Stewart’s yellow bag for her.

Robert Pattinson’s Nude Details Photos and NSFW Video

robert-pattinson-covers-details-march-2010

Details Magazine scored an interview with the Keeper of the Unicorn Field. Robert Pattinson hasn’t had a moment of rest in between filming the ‘Twilight’ saga, participating in several other films (Bel Ami, Remember Me), press events, junkets, photo shoots and endless interviews discussing every angle of his life.

“Seriously, you eventually realize you can’t make every single decision. I was always building, always protecting something. At the same time, I seemed to be losing the ability to move. I’d protected myself into checkmate. Even mentally.” In that moment, he has a realization: “I can barely remember the last two years. Not like a haze of partying or anything like that. Just . . . it’s been crazy.”

Being stalked on a daily basis has grown monotonous. Pattinson jokes about the crazy fans and has been forced to find the humor in having a target on his back.

“I find it really funny—if I got shot, I would literally be in hysterics. I would be like, ‘Are you serious? Jesus Christ, get Zac Efron! He’s got more social relevance than I do.’”

The photo spread accompanying the interview (seen below) was difficult for Sparklepants. Two naked women simply made him uncomfortable during the NSFW Robert Pattinson photo shoot.

“I really hate vaginas. I’m allergic to vagina. But I can’t say I had no idea, because it was a 12-hour shoot, so you kind of get the picture that these women are going to stay naked after, like, five or six hours. But I wasn’t exactly prepared. I had no idea what to say to these girls. Thank God I was hungover.”
