Bradley Cooper Caught Engagement Ring Shopping

‘The Hangover’ star Bradley Cooper is apparently set to tie-the-knot with his beard, I mean girlfriend, actress Renee Zellweger (anyone else always hear Dave Chapell say, “Who the hell is Renee Zellweger?!”).

While in New York recently for an appearance on ‘Late Night with David Letterman,’ Cooper was spotted ring shopping.

“He already has a setting he likes, but he visited various jewelers on 47th Street, including I. Friedman & Son, to look for a stone. He wore a hat and dark glasses and just walked right in. He is old-fashioned,” the insider says. He’ll probably get down on one knee and propose in a romantic setting — and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on Valentine’s Day.”

Valentine’s Day? How original. And I sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Cooper is starring in the upcoming film by the same name. A little free PR perhaps? No. It’s love. Very, very well-timed love.

Something tells me that, if this is true, the two will wed just before the release of the ‘A-Team.’

Renee Zellweger to Wear Fat Suit for Third Bridget Jones Film

After gaining and loosing more than 30 pounds for the first two Bridget Jones films, Renee Zellweger is throwing in the towel on her weight.

News that Renee will once again revive the quirky character made my heart fill with joy. News that she will be wearing a “fat suit” to portray the pleasantly plump Bridget made me doubt the films integrity. While I shouldn’t condone putting your body through huge changes for a role, one wonders if the third installment will be done in a half assed manner.

“Renee will be wearing a fat suit in the third film as it took her a while to lose the weight last time,” a source tells Britain’s Reveal magazine. “She’s also thinking about the effect quickly putting on and then losing 30 pounds has on her body.”

I guess it should be interesting to see what wardrobe and makeup can do. The plot is rumored to center around Jones’ attempt to have a baby after while in her 40s. At least Colin Firth and Hugh Grant will be there to take my mind of the fat suit issue with their slap and tickle fights.

If I were Renee I would relish the opportunity to eat more than ice chips, cigarettes and humming bird water. I would run the streets with a chicken gordita supreme in one hand and a Snickers bar in the other proclaiming I was happier than Santa Clause at Disney Land getting laid.

Jennifer Aniston vs. Tina Fey and Renee Zellweger: CAT FIGHT!

Jennifer Aniston isn’t making anymore friends in Hollywood. That’s OK. She has Oprah and Courtney Cox which is the Hollywood equivanlent of being friends with Jesus and Buddah.

However, it seems Jen has temporarily taken her eyes off St. Angelina Jolie and focused them on two other ladies: Tina Fey and Renee Zellweger.

It’s no surprise that Aniston and Zellweger are taking digs at one another thanks to Bradley Cooper choosing to give his love muffin to Renee and not Jen. You think that Zellweger would take the high road and ride off into the sunset with her hand tucked into Cooper’s back pocket, but apparently she doesn’t roll that way.

In an interview with CNN to promote her latest film, “My One and Only,” Renee made it very clear that she is happy to be known for her acting and not other things, like Ms. Aniston is known for.

“I’m not an actress who made her way based on physicality — I think quite the opposite, in fact. I sort of disappear a little bit, with respect to my looks. I’m lucky. I’m not a standout, kind of knockout kind of girl that, you know, it’s all about my great hair or something.”

Ouch. Don’t worry Jen, in the end Zellweger will likely be remembered for her love of the Krispy Kreams while preparing for ‘Bridget Jones.’

But Aniston isn’t just alienating those in the movie biz. Seems Jen is also giving it to television’s golden girl, Tina Fey.

Jennifer was nominated for an Emmy for her guest appearance on the beloved and hella funny ’30 Rock.’ Also nominated in the same category? Tina Fey, for her guest spot as Sarah Palin on SNL.

“Jen was so excited to be nominated, she’s been talking about it for months,” an insider tells radaronline. “But she’s really disappointed to be going up against Tina. She realizes it’s going to be near to impossible to win now.”

Don’t worry Jen. At least you are right about not being able to win that Emmy.

Bradley Cooper Screws Jennifer Aniston

Well, at least not in the way that she wishes!

Reportedly, Jennifer Aniston feels rejected and upset after Bradley Cooper ditched her for Renee Zellweger, and is left feeling upset. Wait, were these two ever really dating? Last I heard both Cooper and Aniston played the “Just Friends” card.

Per Us:

“She wanted to turn her date with Cooper into something…she honestly feels screwed over,” a pal tells Us of Aniston. “She had a major crush on him and she let him know. He didn’t reciprocate. She is fine. She’s used to being single and in work mode, and she’s used to rejection.”

Despite Cooper’s rejection, her friend insists that Aniston will eventually bounce back. But the pal goes on to say that Aniston doesn’t see what Renee has that she doesn’t. And quite frankly, so do I! Pals of Renee Zellweger claim they know why Cooper fell for her, citing her lack of drama and clinginess as main reasons.

Per Us:

“She just does her thing, has her friends and her life and is cool. She’s really happy and doesn’t need anyone to feel complete,” says one. Adds another: “She’ll show up wearing a sexy dress and Louboutins, but will still order a beer and rattle off the dirty jokes.”

This might not be such a bad thing for Jennifer. Jennifer Aniston needs a strong man to be with her, not a frat boy gone wild. We’ll see how long it really lasts with Renee, now that this star has a little bit of a playboy reputation. Embrace being single Jennifer!

Third ‘Bridget Jones’ Movie in the Works

Huzzah! I adore Helen Fielding! However, I am nervous as to what this third Bridget Jones plot will center around. Fielding only wrote 2 Bridget based books. (Yes, I have read a book before.) The rumor is that writers are going to be using Helen’s columns from Britain’s The Independent that will focus on trying to have a baby.

Renee Zellweger will reprise her role as the lovable Jones. The film is still in the very early stages and doesn’t even have a tentative title yet. Word is that production will begin by Christmas.

In the words of the great RuPaul…”Don’t f**k it up!”

UPDATE:

“The Guardian says that both Colin Firth and Hugh Grant will also star in the third movie: “The third in the series following 2001′s Bridget Jones and 2004 sequel Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason – will be based on writer Helen Fielding<'s series of columns in the Independent in 2005. The storyline sees Bridget trying to have a baby in her 40s, despite still not being able to decide between handsome but untrustworthy publisher Cleaver, played by Hugh Grant in the films, and steady but boring Darcy, played by Colin Firth."
