After 5 seasons of getting drunk and waking up in trash cans, crashing into police escorts, drinking enough booze to make The Hoff cry over a thousand cheeseburgers and coming up with poetic quotes like: “I’m a bartender. I do, you know, great things,” the cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ is going to be replaced.

Fresh “New Moon” posters and promos have hit the net. I added some older wolf pack photos for funsies. No real news value here, but it is a Sunday night and I should be nursing my hangover with my head in toilet. So…the only fun fact I have involves Jackson Rathbone. WTF? I know the movie was terrible and honestly the book is much better, but do we really need a “Twilight” remake. Especially an even more craptastic tv version. But cheers to a money making machine. This version will replace the hotness of Robert Pattinson with a new twist for tv.
“Rayver Cruz will star as Edward Cullen and Magdayao as Isabella Swan in the local television version “Twilight.” The hit vampire novel has been bought by ABS-CBN has bought for more than US$1 million with Ignite Media as co producer. The taping is set to start next year by Feb. in Baguio, Tagaytay, Bukidnon with some parts to be shot abroad.”
It will center around the Edward and Bella’s star crossed love. The Asian version will also feature Shaina Magdayao who has worked with Rayver before as a love interest that failed to produce chemistry.
The rest of the cast is rumored to be: Valeen Montenegro as Alice Cullen, Gabby Concepcion as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, Luis Manzano as Emmett Cullen, Al Tantay as Charlie Swan, Yayo Aguila as Renee Dwyer, Fred Payawan as Jacob Black, Carlos Agassi as James, Chin Chin Gutierrez as Esme Cullen, Karylle as Rosalie Hale, Joross Gamboa as Jasper Hale, Jessy Mendiola as Jessica Stanley, Empress Schuck as Angela Weber, Brad Murdoch as Laurent, Nikki Bacolod as Victoria and Aaron Villaflor as Mike Newton.

UPDATE
I finally got confirmation that this is NOT going to happen. It appears that someone had created the idea to sponge of the current “Twilight” mania to garner press for ABS-CBN network. I am just gald that nuttery is shut down. The story was “leaked” to yehey.com as legit. However, the remake will not be happening any time soon.
“Twilight” fans are getting a little out of control. As reported (click here for ‘Taylor Lautner Replaced for ‘Twilight’ Sequel, ‘New Moon’) the current actor playing Jacob Black in the “Twilight” films is due to be replaced by an older actor to better fit the character’s transformation for “New Moon.”
Taylor Lautner fans are furious and have taken to harassing the replacement, Michael Copon. Fans are hitting Copon’s Facebook page with nasty comments. Fans have left messages like:
“He’s [Taylor's] done all the hardwork and so deserves it.”
“I don’t want you playing Jacob Black in New Moon
because Taylor is perfect.”
“You’re a douche.”
Petitions and groups loyal to Taylor have surfaced in lieu of the news of his replacement. The teen heartthrob has also making attempts to save his job. He told People that he packed on 19 lbs to fill out for the transformation his character undergoes in the next film. He will be meeting with director Chris Weitz before Christmas to show him his dedication to the role.
“I have been working out. I’ve been working out since the day we finished filming Twilight. I just weighed myself today; I’ve put on 19 lbs., I’m guaranteeing Weitz 10 more [pounds] by filming.”
Poor kid. I say give him a chance. Obviously he is willing to do whatever it takes and in this case looking older is easy.
So who should walk away with the role of Jacob Black?
