It’s been awhile since we had an update on the sad unicorn that is Robert Pattinson. So, let’s check up on ol’ Sparklepants…

Us swears on a stack of back issues that the ‘Cosmopolis’ star gets the sads when he walks into their empty $6 million house in Los Feliz. According to the rag, he is sticking a FOR SALE sign on the home because it’s filled with “too many memories.”
Ah, yes. Another day, another Robert Pattinson rumor. Today we shall be exploring a rumor that Sparklepants and Leonardo DiCaprio are best friends and going on getaways together.
This sounds like fan-ficition, but Sugarscape, with a dash of Showbiz Spy, insists that Leo and Rob became pals through their mutual friendship with Reese Witherspoon. According to their claims, DiCaprio invited Pattinson to hang out with him on set of his new movie. It sounds like Arab Sheikh inviting a nightclub hostess to his yacht in order to lure her into his colony of concubines. (If this were happening to non-famous people it would be some wealthy old fart offering a CVS clerk a ride in his Prius.)
The mystery of whether or not Robert Pattinson is a boxers or briefs kind fella has been answered. I know the underwear preference of Sparklepants kept you awake at night.
Several rather reputable media outlets are reporting that Kristen Stewart has been dropped from her role in the sequel to ‘Snow White and the Huntsman.’ This is both correct and inaccurate. I know what you are thinking…“But, that doesn’t make any sense! What madness is this devil woman?!”
“This married actor tried to reheat an affair with a former costar. The costar – who was a rising starlet when they worked together – had originally seduced him on set. But now she is attached to younger, hotter star, and wants nothing to do with the married actor. In case you were camping in front of your tv waiting for Robert Pattinson to appear on ‘Good Morning America’ and talk about that trampire, Kristen Stewart, you can pack up your s’mores kit and go about consoling your life sized cardboard cut of Rob as usual.
The good people over at Gossip Cop have gotten word that Sam Clafin is has finally struck a deal to play Finnick Odair in ‘Catching Fire.’ The ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ supporting star has signed on to portray one of the new and vital characters in ‘The Hunger Games’ saga.
For all of you who are worrying what you will do after the last film in the Twilight Saga releases…clutch your cardboard cutouts of Robert Pattinson that you stole from Best Buy. The possible fifth book in the adventures of your favorite Sparklepire is still in limbo.
Meyers was midway through penning ‘Midnight Sun,’ which is a revamp of ‘Twilight’ in Edward’s perspective, when it was leaked to the net and fans went wild reading it. She ended it confirming that the leak was legit and stopped writing the book. Whether or not she will ever finish it has been a constant question. Even Oprah couldn’t talk her into going back to the project.
Usually headlines like these are either one of two things: trashy tabloid fodder or baiting for attention. (Kinda like attaching Robert Pattinson’s name to any project and enjoying and instant surge in interest.)

The sequel to ‘The Hunger Games’ is gaining production moment for its November 2013 release date. ‘Catching Fire’ is in the re-writes stage according to IMBD and casting for new characters has been underway. The role of Finnick Odair seems to have the most interest. Last week, Robert Pattinson’s name was attached to the project, but that seems to be a standard tactic when garnering press.
This week, E! says that Lionsgate has narrowed it down to three established contenders. Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch or Garrett Hedlund are all said to be up for the role of Finnick. The report also mentions that the studio isn’t ruling out casting an unknown.
