The 2012 SAG Awards took place last night. Yeah, I was watching the Pro Bowl too. Men in glorified spandex always trumps actors giving each other awards for acting. The Screen Actors Guild Awards always struck me like homecoming from grownups.

In case you were also watching the Pro Bowl and feel bad for missing out on Octavia Spencer winning her Best Supporting Actress award, here is a brief rundown of who won what…

Heath Ledger’s Family Will Rob Matilda of Oscar

Yesterday as they were landing at LAX, the family of the late Heath Ledger was asked if daughter Matilda Ledger would get the Oscar for his inevitable win as supporting actor for his role of the Joker in “The Dark Knight.”

Per The Envelope:

“Oh, yeah, down the line. We’ll keep it for her forever!” Said Heaths’ father Kim.

Um… what? The academy requires that posthumously bestowed Oscars go to the late person’s spouse or a child of legal age. Therefore, that award technically will belong to Matilda, and her mother Michelle Williams should accept the award on her daughters behalf. Although, that would create a sticky situation given the fact that Williams and Ledger were estranged at the time of his death and the two never married. The only thing stopping little Matilda from going up there on stage to accept that award is the fact that she is only 3 years old. You can bet your bottom dollar if she was older, she’d proudly go up there and accept that award on behalf of her father. Keeping the award will break the agreement the Ledgers made with the academy.

Per The Envelope:

“It’s complicated, because there are two different questions that have to be answered. First, we have to decide who gets the job of accepting the award onstage on the night of the ceremony. And then there’s the question of the eventual disposition of the posthumous statuette, which may not stay with the person who accepts it.” says Bruce Davis, Academy Executive Director. “In the event that Heath Ledger should be selected as the supporting actor recipient, the statuette will be held in trust for his daughter by her mother, Michelle Williams, until Matilda reaches the age of 18. At that point, she may execute what we call an heir’s agreement and keep the statuette forever — or, if she chooses not to do that, it will return to us.”

So what about the actors Screen Actors Guild Award that was won not too long ago? According to SAG Awards producer Kathy Connell, they are still holding it until the proper paperwork can be filled out. And what about his Golden Globe award? The Hollywood Foreign Press Association says they shipped Heath’s Golden Globe over to the office of his publicist Mara Buxbaum. Or what about his Critics Choice award? Supposedly, it was shipped to Warner Bros. awards office. But when asked, they claimed they don’t have it, and to ask Ms. Buxbaum for an official statement. Hmmm… so all of Heath’s awards are nowhere to be found… Interesting.

So why is the Ledger family being so shady with his awards? His daughter is his sole heir, and therefore should have her father’s belongings. With the way Heath obviously loved his daughter, you can assume he’d want her to have them. Matilda lost her daddy at such a young age – shouldn’t she at least have things to remember him by?

Evan Rachel Wood and Mickey Rourke Hook-Up

I must begin this post with a warning: those with weak stomachs my want to skip this write-up altogether. Actress Evan Rachel Wood, 21, was spotted in a hot and heavy lip-lock with her on-screen father Mickey Rourke, 56, following an after party of the SAG Awards Sunday evening. Barf.

As if she didn’t creep me out enough during the time she spent making out with Marilyn Manson (the two split in December), Wood has now taken the disgusting-train to Repulsive-ville by getting-it-on with Rourke, who spent time playing her dad in the movie, “The Wrestler”.

Via Fox News:

“The two attended Grey Goose’s Official SAG after-party at the Shrine on Sunday evening but were spotted leaving together enroute to the later after party at the Four Seasons Hotel. According to Pop Tarts spies, the actress went upstairs with Rourke when he suddenly grabbed her for a lip-lock in the outside area of the swanky five-star hotel.”

I’m sorry. I need a moment to rinse out my mouth. Thank you.

Rumors that the two hooked-up during filming of “The Wrestler” have been spreading like Pam Anderson’s legs at a photo shoot, but Wood maintains that the two are “just friends.” Note to my friends: don’t expect me to start open-mouth kissing you anytime soon just because celebrities are doing it. Especially my friends that are much older and significantly creepy.

SAG Awards Worst Dressed: Katie Holmes’ Nipples and Terri Hatcher’s Curtains

The SAG Awards fashion cup runneth over with dreadful fashion and faux pas. Katie Holmes clearly was cold and the entire time she was up at the podium. I am surprised that after she announced the award for the Best Actor category, Sean Penn didn’t add: “And I would like to thank Katie Holmes’ nipples for pointing the way to the stage…” to his speech.

Meanwhile the entire cast of “Desperate Housewives” won my nod for worst dressed. However, the worst of the worst was Terri Hatcher ripped down some curtains from my Aunt Boopy’s house and held the mess together with belt.

I thought these people had money? Seriously…I don’t care who you are. Nipples are are never a classy accessory. And Teri just looks frumpy.

What Others Said:

Dlisted - “Stepford Katie once again tried to do her best Posh impersonation and failed miserably. She looks more like my friend Armando trying to dress as Posh for Halloween using shit he bought at TJ Maxx.”

SAG Awards Best Dressed – Photos

Penelope Cruz, who is always stunning, wore a black Azzedine Alaia dress that amped up the sexy.

Anne Hathaway looked simple and elegant in her Azzaro frock that boasted a jewel encrusted belt and neckline that gave a built in accessories appeal.

Meanwhile Kate Winslet wore a Narciso Rodriguez creation that harnessed the power of electric blue.
