Forbes has come up with their list of Highest Paid Actresses. Using info from agents, lawyers, producers and their own “insiders,” they came up with a top five that includes the usual A-listers.
Surprisingly enough, Sarah Jessica Parker is at the top of the money heap. She tied with Angelina Jolie with a $30 million payout from May 2010 to May 2011. Most of SJP’s earnings still come from ‘Sex and the City.’ Between the second film and reruns of the show along with her perfumes and her involvement in designing Halston’s clothing…she doesn’t need a slew of blockbusters to keep her in her Manolos. Parker does have two films currently in post production.
Another Sex And The City Movie – With Blake Lively ?!?

‘Sex and The City‘ was a huge hit for HBO. It aired for 7 seasons and can now be seen all over your tv in re-runs. The hit show was even made it onto the big screen with two movies. I thought after the second movie that hit theaters last year, they’d throw in the towel since the actresses are getting up there in age and aren’t looking as youthful as they once did. But someone’s trying to squeeze every drop of profit out of the Sex and the City brand because there are rumblings of a 3rd movie in 2012, but Sarah Jessica Parker won’t be part of the cast. Neither will the rest of the original foursome. Instead this SATC movie would be a prequel to the SATC series on HBO. Last June rumors began circulating that SATC writer Candice Bushnell’s prequel ‘The Carrie Diaries‘ was going to be made into a movie. And rumor has it one of the ‘Gossip Girls‘ will be playing the young Carrie Bradshaw – Blake Lively is rumored to be playing the part of the high school aged Bradshaw.
Per MTV:
“There are no plans to bring Sarah Jessica Parker and the others girls back together in the old format. The prequel is about breathing new life into the story and exploring Carrie’s first few months in NYC and the beginning of her relationship with an older man.”
Lively’s rep has denied the rumors, but Blake Lively would be a great choice for the prequel to SATC. Her career has exploded the last few years thanks to Gossip Girl.

‘Twilight: Eclipse’ Leads The Razzie Awards For Worst In Film

‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse‘ was one of the highest grossing films in 2010 dues to it’s cult following. However, not everyone think this series is cinema greatness. The awards for worst in film are coming up in February called “The Razzies” and Eclipse is nominated for 9 awards for the worst in film. Kristen Stewart is up for the Worst Actress trophy and the film’s lead male stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are set to battle it out for Worst Actor. Jackson Rathbone, who is part of the supporting cast for the vampire series is nominated for Worst Supporting Actor for two different films, Eclipse and ‘The Last Airbender.’
Per People:
Eclipse, which is also up for worst picture and worst screen ensemble, tied for the most nominations with M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, another worst-picture nominee. Rounding out the worst-picture category are ‘The Bounty Hunter,’ ‘Sex & the City 2‘ and the Twilight parody ‘Vampires Suck.’
Joining Stewart in the Worst Actress category are Jennifer Aniston for The Bounty Hunter, Miley Cyrus for ‘The Last Song‘, and Megan Fox for ‘Jonah Hex,’ while Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon received nominations for their roles in the second Sex and the City sequel. Sparklepants is fighting some tough competition for Worst Actor along with Jack Black for ‘Gulliver’s Travels,’ Gerard Butler for The Bounty Hunter, and Ashton Kutcher, who is nominated twice for his parts in ‘Valentine’s Day’ and ‘Killers.’
The Razzie Awards ceremony will take place one day before the Oscars on February 26th. You may remember that Sandra Bullock actually showed up to receive her Razzie for Worst Actress last year. She, of course, received an Oscar the same year for Best Actress as well. Now Twilight has the chance to shine at the Razzie Awards, but I’m guessing the cast will skip that one.

Sex and the City 2 held its world premiere last night at none other than famous Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristen Davis were all in attendance, and, of course, we all decked out in stunning gowns.

With each frame of SATC2 dripping in designer duds, the pressure was on to pick a red-carpet-worthy gown. Parker wore neon yellow Valentino. “This movie took a long time to make,” she said. “I cared about being presentable to that degree. I never want to embarrass my children or my family. It’s always lovely to get to borrow a beautiful dress.” A L’Wren Scott-clad Eve said the pressure to look stunning was huge. “I didn’t sleep at all last night,” she said.
Though I don’t hate the dress, I feel that I have seen SJP looking better. The length is what I think I have issue with.
As for the other ladies? All looked lovely, though I have to say Catrall’s fireworks inspired ensemble was my least fav and Davis’ hair left something to be desired.
However, none held a candle to my man John Corbett who looked especially dazzling. Ooohh, how I missed Aidan!

‘Sex and the City’ Third Movie Planned

Though the sequel to the first “Sex and the City” movie isn’t due to hit theaters for another four months, a third installment of the adventures of Carrie and Crew is reportedly already being rushed into production. So whats the hurry? Apparently, there are concerns that Sarah Jessica-Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall may look too old if they leave a long gap between filming the follow ups.
Per Worst Previews:
To solve this problem, the studio has decided to shoot the second and third installments back to back. “There is also a third movie on the go,” said the paper’s source. “It’s under wraps for publicity reasons.”
Though we still don’t know exactly what will be happening with Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda in the second movie, it seems likely the second movie will keep us wanting to see more! But it does sound like if a third movie is being made, it will be the final one. Parker, Nixon, and David are all in their mid-40s, while Cattrall is 53 years old. I am guessing the title will be something like “Sex and the City 3: Dry Lady Parts Take Manhattan.” I shouldn’t joke about their age. Someday soon the Dame will be reaching these heights and bucking for a raise. So here’s to 40 being the new 20.
Sex and the City Sequel Plot Shocker

*SPOILER ALERT* I hope you have averted your eyes if you are a Sex and the City fan and don’t want details of the second film’s plot spoiled. If not then you are a nosy ho and I like it.
*SPOILER ALERT* It has been whispered that John Corbett who played Carrie’s former fiancé will reprise his role as Aidan in ‘Sex and the City 2.’ He was spotted in Morocco while filming for the sequel took place and sent theories running. When asked about it, Parker gave a slightly cryptic response.

“I can’t not confirm or deny his involvement. It might have just been coincidental that he was traveling.”
It is appears that he WILL return to play Aiden. Furthermore, his role in the film will be BIG…. as in “indiscretion” and Mr. Big. Word is that this “indiscretion” leads to Mr.Big moving. Also debunked is the Carrie and Big loose tons of money and are forced to move in with Charlotte and Harry. That is just a rumor. They are financially affected, but not to that extreme.
Another spoiler states that much of the film takes place in the Middle East and the only hint given to the reality of that is that Samantha is the reason for that particular travel. If you are super interested…the reflection in Carrie’s sunglasses on the poster is supposed to be that of the deserts in the Middle East. Despite photos of Kim Catrall filming a scene while wearing a wedding dres…there is only one wedding in S&TC and that is between Stanford Blatch and Anthony Marentino. Also, Miranda does leave her beloved attorney position to open a restaurant with her husband, Steve.
Sarah Jessica Parker also cleared up any rumors of the return of her beloved assistant played by Jennifer Hudson.
“I can confirm that there is no Jennifer Hudson.”
Let’s just hope there is plenty of Smith in there somewhere.
Rue McClanahan Rips the Ladies of Sex and the City

If you know me, you know that my love for the ‘Golden Girls’ is undying. You can bring along any show you like, feature all the hot female actresses you want, and it won’t hold a candle to Bea, Betty, Estelle, and Rue.
And I am not alone.
Golden Girl Rue MacCalanahan was papped yesterday at New York’s LaGuardia airport and she had some not-so-nice things to say about Kim Catrall and company when one of the photogs compared the original ladies to the ‘Sex and the City ‘girls.

“Don’t even mention them” — and adding the GGs are on another level because “Our humor is much better than that.”
In other words, stop trying to fix what was never broken. The ‘Golden Girls’ continues to run in syndication. Check your local listings…I watch it for about 3 hours everyday.
Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) to Get Married in ‘Sex and the City’ Sequel -Photos

This is an obvious spoiler alert so only keep reading if you want to know the details.
Thus far major spoilers for the next installment of “Sex and the City” have hit the net already. The film is in the early stages filming and we already have the basic plot. According to Us magazine these are the highlights:
~Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) are forced to move in with Charlotte and family after Big loses a huge chunk of his wealth.
~Meanwhile, Charlotte (played by Kristin Davis) somehow comes under the impression that her husband is cheating on her. In reality he is building her a dream house. (I believe this same scenario has been done in every sitcom since 1992. Snooze.)
~Miranda Hobbs (Cynthai Nixon) quits her career as an attorney to open a restaurant with her husband, Steve.
~The most interesting detail in the spoilers say that Stanford Blatch and Anthony Marentino will get married. The hilarious scene will also include a serenade by Liza Minelli.
New reports as to Samantha Jones’ role in the movie suggest she will be getting married. After Cattrall was spotted carrying around a script (click here to see Kim Cattrall airing out the S&TC script), a few pages were photographed and read. If the script is correct, Samantha will be taking testosterone in efforts to get pregnant and Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis) will return. On Friday Kim was on set in a wedding dress and refused to comment on her character’s situation. So it is being assumed that her character is getting married.
If you recall the same wedding dress issue happened while making the first film version of “Sex and the City.” Sarah Jessica Parker was photographed wearing a wedding gown and rumors began that the scene was just a dream sequence began. In this case I would deem it a nightmare sequence in the eyes Samantha Jones.
With the return of Jerrod, baby rumors and now these photos of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones in a wedding dress, I think it is safe to say she will be getting married. What do you think?
