E!’s ‘BridalPlasty’ – Did Anyone Watch It?

Last night a brand new reality TV show debuted on E! Who doesn’t like a wedding reality show? And who doesn’t love a reality show involving plastic surgery? Well this brand new show combines both – It’s called ‘BridalPlasty‘ and is hosted by Shanna Moakler. Celebrity surgeon Terry Dubrow of FOX’s ‘The Swan‘ would be the plastic surgeon in charge. Each week, competitors are given wedding-related challenges such as planning honeymoons and writing vows. The winner will get a cosmetic surgery and the result would be shown at the beginning of the following week’s episode. The elimination process is by voting from fellow competitors and the last one standing will receive the ultimate dream wedding complete with her new look.

Per NY Daily News:

And the groom? He doesn’t see his convalescing wife till wedding day. “Viewers will witness his emotional and possibly shocked reaction as they stand at the altar and he lifts her veil to see her for the first time following her extreme plastic surgery,” according to a statement from the network.

I meant to watch or at least DVR this brand new show so I could see just how ridiculous it really is – but the Holiday weekend caught up with me and I decided to get some extra sleep. God bless E!, you know they will re-show the debut a million times.

Did you watch this show? What are your thoughts?

Carrie Prejean Sues the Miss California Organization

carrie-prejean-sues-miss-california

Former Miss California and complete air-head, Carrie Prejean, is apparently upset that her 15 minutes of fame are up and has decided to take it out on the organization that created her: the Miss California Organization that is.

In case you have forgotten, Prejean was the Rhodes Scholar who, when asked her stance on same-sex marriage during the Miss USA pageant, said she believed in “opposite marriage.” Now she has filed a claim against Shanna Moakler and other organization officials claiming that she was stripped of her crown for her religious beliefs.

Via TMZ:

“Prejean just filed the suit in L.A. County Superior Court, accusing Moakler and pageant honcho Keith Lewis of religious discrimination, defamation, public disclosure of private facts, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.”

Prejean claims that aside from discriminating against her religious beliefs, officials also tried to get her to pose nude for Playboy magazine in order to take her crown.

Organization officials stripped Prejean of her crown back in June claiming Prejean failed to show up to scheduled public appearances.

A friend reportedly arrived at Adam’s apartment to check on him after not hearing from him for a few days, but got no response after knocking on his door. The friend then called the police, who entered and found his body. He was only 36 years old. His last public appearance was this past Sunday at Citi Field in NYC where he threw out the first pitch at a Mets game. He last updated his personal Twitter on Tuesday with a chilling lyric from the opening line to the famous Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five song “New York, New York.”

Per DJ AM’s Twitter:

“New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems.”

Goldstein had previously been battling drug addiction and even had a show on the MTV network to help out those who were struggling with drugs. He was very popular on the celebrity circuit as he was frequently booked for high profile parties and celebrations. Goldstein was once engaged to Nicole Richie and also dated Mandy Moore on and off for several years. A year ago, he suffered severe burns when the Learjet carrying him and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker crashed near a runway in South Carolina, killing 4 people, heading to California.

Tonight Goldstein was supposed to be deejaying at Rain in Las Vegas, Nevada. No additional details regarding Adam Goldstein’s death have been revealed, as the story is still developing. Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to his family and friends during this tragic time.
