Remember when American Idol was relatively amusing thanks to the somewhat incoherent critiques of my favorite gin soaked judge? Paula Abdul packed up her mineral water bottle (filled with vodka) and step-ball-changed her way off the show after execs refused to pay up. Well, ramblings that will most likely end with Paula asking Simon to guess where her new tattoo is at are here again!
Paula Abdul’s 15 minutes are completely dried up! Her new show ‘Live To Dance‘ was just canceled by CBS because the viewership was so low! Now it seems she may be having a breakdown! Abdul kept hope alive that her show would gain viewers every week but it peaked around 4 million to watch the finals. Friends of the TV star said she is very “devastated” and had locked herself in her house for the past couple days.

Radar Online found out from a “source” that the bad news was delivered by phone on Friday, February 11 and Paula spent the weekend mourning. “She spent the weekend at her home, surrounded by friends, rehashing CBS’ devastating decision and wondering what she would do next,” a source said.
She left American Idol just 2 season ago and really hasn’t been able to recover as a talent. The only thing she can hope for is that Simon Cowell wants her on his ‘X Factor‘ show. Until then I’m sure she’ll be on a long alcohol and pill binge!

Take that ‘American Idol!’ When Simon Cowell brings his hugely successful singing competition show, ‘X-Factor,’ to America this fall, he’ll be joined on the judges panel by a HUGE star – Will Smith!
Per MTV:
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Simon thinks Will and Cheryl Cole will be a brilliant formula. He’s one of the biggest names in America and considered to be a talented musician as well as actor.”
Smith will be joined on the judges panel by Cowell, Cole, and rumored addition Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger! The X Factor is due to premiere in the US in September. Will you be watching?

Another day, another dollar! When it comes to making money who were the top celebrities according to Forbes Magazine? No surprise, Oprah topped the list again raking is an estimated $315 million this year! I wonder if she’ll be on top again next year as she’ll be leaving network TV at the end of Spring of 2011 to join her OWN network.

Jennifer Lopez has reportedly clinched a $12 million deal to be a judge on “American Idol.” Lopez has been in negotiation with the show bosses about joining the panel following the departures of Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres, and Kara DioGuardi. According to earlier reports, Lopez was asking for $15 million and also demanded for a film and TV show from the companies which produce American Idol – Fox, Fremantle, and 19 Entertainment. But those demands were turned down.
Per CBS News:
“She was angling for an overall deal at Fox, including a put picture, to keep the movie career going. But Fox said ‘no,’” an insider said. However, a source at Fox told TMZ Tuesday that these excessive demands are untrue and were produced by people who resent the show. The source also insisted that negotiations have been “normal” and are now a “done deal.”
UsMagazine cited anonymous insiders as saying that “Idol” contracts are currently being signed by Lopez, fellow newcomer Steven Tyler and Idol veteran judge Randy Jackson. Fox is said to have delayed the official announcement of the new judging panel because J-Lo wanted it to coincide with the release of her first single. Lopez recently signed on with record label Island Def Jam and is working on her first album with them called “Love?” According to Us, an official announcement is expected in early October, before auditions begin for the tenth season.

After a highly-publicized appearance on Simon Cowell’s UK X Factor show recently, pop star Katy Perry could be adding a few more thousands to her bank balance with rumors of a lucrative offer to appear on the US version being made. Perry supposedly impressed show boss Cowell so much as a guest judge that he now wants her to be the first on the panel for the show that would be launched next year.
Per Contact Music:
A source said: “Simon wants to get the judging names signed, sealed and announced within six weeks. He wants at least one massive American star, someone who is known globally, plus one Brit and at least one authoritative male. Katy was thrilled, especially by the package which is said to be a $340,000-a-show deal.”
It is being rumored that Jennifer Lopez was also a serious deliberation along with her husband Marc Anthony. Nick Cannon was also considered, but it was Perry who reportedly shown brighter than the others. The Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger is also believed to be in the group for a role on the US version of the show ‘X Factor’ after she impressed Cowell with her stint as a guest judge on the UK program and the show’s present host Mr. Dermot O’Leary is also being said to take on the hosting duties after the launching of the new series.

The revolving door on the “American Idol” judges’ table may be starting to spin out of control. First Simon, then Ellen, and now Kara! Fresh off the heels of Thursday’s shocking news that Ellen DeGeneres would be leaving “Idol” after just one year (read about that here), TMZ reported later in the day that two-season veteran Kara DioGuardi had been fired from the show. No great loss there!
We’re told the show will be going back to a three-judge format and assuming all deals are finalized, the judge’s panel will consist of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. We’re told the only way Kara could get a reprieve is if the J-Lo deal falls apart — but we’re told that deal is done.
Reps for Lopez and Tyler have not commented as of yet but Fox is expected to announce the makeup of the new “Idol” judges’ panel on Monday at the Television Critics Association event. Not quite sure the J-Lo and Steven Tyler addition is going to work. I’m still crossing my fingers for Jessica Simpson and Bret Michaels!

I no longer watch American Idol ever since Paula Abdul packed up her Vicodin and Gin as she stumbled out of the door. Now that Simon Cowell is following her out the Idol door, the search for a replacement has named several names. (The latest being Chris Isaak, click HERE for that story.)
The latest hopeful rumored to be the new American Idol judge is Jessica Simpson. Oy. Life and Style is reporting that she is “in negotiations” to fill Simon’s vacant spot.
“She’s met with producer-creator Simon Fuller several times. They like her — she’s a good fit — and she likes it. Now it’s just a question of how to fit her in.”
I am guessing Randy Jackson will be hitting CTRL+ALT+IQUITTHISBITCH if he has to suffer through endless pull my finger fart jokes and kicking her under the table when it’s her turn to give her critique as she stares blankly and the sound of dial tone fills the table.

My spell check hates Mezhgan Hussainy. Good thing she has an engagement ring the size of a dinner plate on her finger to make up for it.
Simon Cowell was laughing off engagement rumors just a few weeks ago. Now his fiancee is sporting a diamond engagement ring that is probably worth more than your house, car and precious moment figurine collection put together and multiplied by 5. She is a make up artist who puts the whore-face (as Aunty Tootsie calls make up) on American Idol contestants.

It seems that the most eligible bachelor in both Hollywood and Britain is finally a taken man. The story about Simon Cowell’s pending marriage came to light last week, and was vehemently denied by his rep. But now, Simon’s fiance Mezhgan Hussainy has stepped up and confirmed their engagement!
Per Radar:
But, gorgeous brunette Mezhgan told RadarOnline.com’s executive vice president David Perel that indeed, she and Simon are getting married.
Sporting a beautiful sparkling engagement ring, Mezhgan was all smiles as she told RadarOnline.com exclusively that the couple, who are living together, are officially engaged.
Cowell and Hussainy have reportedly known each other for years, having met on the set of “American Idol” where she is a makeup artist. They have been dating for about a year, and set off engagement rumors after she had been spotted with a massive diamond on her finger following a Valentine’s Day dinner. While they’re not divulging any details, a source close to the couple seems to think the wedding isn’t too far off.
“They are very suited,” Max Clifford (Simons publicist) said earlier. “She is someone who is independent and says what she thinks and feels, and he likes that. He’s probably the happiest I have ever known him in the nine years I’ve been working with him.”
Congrats to the happy couple! And we can’t wait to hear about that pre-nup!
