‘The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader’ Trailer

A new domestic trailer has been released for Disney’s upcoming sequel ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.’ It’s the third installment in the film franchise, which is based on the popular C. S. Lewis book series. The Dawn Treader is a follow up to 2008’s Prince Caspian.

Per Gossip Teen:

This time around – Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their pesky cousin Eustace Scrubb – find themselves swallowed into a painting and on to a fantastic Narnian ship headed for the very edges of the world. Joining forces once again with their royal friend Prince Caspian and the warrior mouse Reepicheep, they are whisked away on a mysterious mission to the Lone Islands, and beyond.

On this bewitching voyage that will test their hearts and spirits, the trio will face magical Dufflepuds, sinister slave traders, roaring dragons and enchanted merfolk. Only an entirely uncharted journey to Aslan’s Country – a voyage of destiny and transformation for each of those aboard the Dawn Treader – can save Narnia, and all the astonishing creatures in it, from an unfathomable fate.

The third installment of the Narnia series is directed by Michael Apted and stars Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes, Will Poulter, Gary Sweet, Bruce Spence, Arthur Angel, Shane Rangi and features the amazing voice of Liam Neeson. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is scheduled to hit theaters this holiday season in 3D and 2D on December 10th.

‘Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ Clips- VIDEO

My geekdom stems beyond the Harry Potter realms. While reading the books as a child growing up in bungalow in Bora Bora (ok, fine a ranch in a small town in Indiana which worshiped an eight foot turtle), the Chronicles of Narnia was my first literary love.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” Narnia 3, will be in theaters on December 10th 2010. Until then enjoy 3 clips from the film that brings back Prince Caspian (played by the delicious yet quiet Ben Barnes), Edmund Pevensie (portrayed by a purveyor of impure thoughts that would likely land me in jail Skandar Keynes) and Lucy Pevensie (played by the adorable Georgie Henley). This time Peter and Susan sit out the adventure while their cousin Eustace gets schooled by Aslan.

Well kittens, here’s the first glimpse from the new ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ installment: ‘The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.’

I have to admit, I haven’t read any of the books since my last attempt in fifth grade. And then, it was only so that Mark Ousley and I could talk about it on the playground.

Though I am not at all interested in the story, I am TOTALLY interested in Ben Barnes. How cute is he? Look at him hold onto that sword. Unfortunately, I have heard from Hollywood insiders that Ben is on the short side which usually means he also has small feet. A definite turn-off.

As for the story…apparently ‘Dawn Treader’ takes place about three years after the last Narnia film. Caspian, now King, is honoring his oath to find the seven lost lords or Ashlee Simpson’s career. Whichever.

Edmund and Lucy (played by Skandar Keynes and Georgie Henley respectively), are once again pulled into Narnia with some cousin of theirs. They naturally tag along for the ride.

The film is currently set to hit theaters December 10, 2010. For their sake, let’s hope no sparkling vampires are due out at the same time.
