Lady Gaga is teaming up with the Robin Hood Foundation to help out homeless youth in her hometown of NY. She’s asking her Facebook friends to help pick the charity, too.
The little monsters can pick from the following organizations: The Door, Hetrick-Martin Institute, Lawyers for Children, Safe Horizon or SCO Family of Services. The organization will be given the donation in two installments of $500,000 per year over two years. On May 9th she will do a special benefit concert for the Robin Hood Foundation and announce the results.
Miley Cyrus took on hosting duties for ‘Saturday Night Live’ this weekend. The former ‘Hannah Montana’ starlet did a couple sketches taking at her equally famous male counterpart, Justin Bieber.
During the sketch, in which Miley was dressed as The Biebs pretending to be on her talk show, the subject of Cyrus’ recent bong incident came up. She defended the salvia smoking as Justin by stating, ‘There is no reason why you wouldn’t. It’s totally legal yo.” (So is stripping at a club behind the airport after turning 18, but probably not something you want to endorse on national television. Just sayin’.)
She then tried her hand at a Fergie impersonation. Basically she put on of her classier ho at the club dress and wailed “People in the place!” a couple of times.
The best sketch of the night has to go to the Charlie Sheen mocking skit, “Duh! Winning!”
Hader did an amazing job with the opening sketch. It was actually a bit creepy how much he sounded like Sheen. Miley also made a debut in that skit with a short blurb as Lindsay Lohan.

I love when ‘Saturday Night Live‘ spoofs Miley Cyrus with their ‘Miley Cyrus Show‘ skit. But what would happen if Miley was actually hosting SNL? Would she be part of their skit? We will find out soon enough because Miley’s going to be hosting an upcoming episode of SNL.
Per MTV:
The 18-year-old singer/actress is slated to host “Saturday Night Live” for the first time on March 5, People.com has confirmed. Unlike some previous genre-spanning celebs who have hosted the sketch-comedy show such as Justin Timberlake and Jennifer Lopez, though, Cyrus won’t pull double duty as the evening’s musical guest. There’s no word yet on who will provide the musical entertainment on the episode.
Hmmmm.. I wonder if the salvia smoking incident will come up?

Ah… who doesn’t love Betty White? She’s the last surviving cast member of The Golden Girls, she’s hilarious, and she’s adorable. 2010 was a huge year for the 89 year old actress – she hosted SNL, was one of Barbara Walter’s Most fascinating people, and the list goes on. Well long before gravity took a toll on Betty’s body, she was actually a pin up girl. Yes, Betty White posed nude back in the day.

Jim Carrey took a stab at ballerina drag during Saturday Night Live. The comedian hosted the show which brought its highest ratings in two years. The last episode of SNL to enjoy similar ratings was Betty White’s appearance with Jay-Z in May 2008.

NY Daily is reporting that Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson’s marriage is on the rocks. The report attributes Scarlett’s SNL appearance as their source of trouble. The curvy actress hosted Saturday Night Live and wanted Ryan to make an appearance. He snubbed the opportunity to be on the show and with his wife and hit up Soho House instead.
“In October 2009, Johansson put in a surprise “SNL” appearance when Reynolds was the show’s guest host. Though we hear producers were interested in having the upcoming “Green Lantern” star make a similar cameo, Reynolds declined, saying he planned to attend the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s” benefit at the Waldorf instead.
It turned out Reynolds wasn’t even in New York that night, (though he taped a video for the Fox fund-raiser). Another insider saw him at Soho House in Los Angeles, and “Millionaire Matchmaker” Patti Stanger tweeted that she’d met Reynolds at the club that evening.”
I doubt that the fate of their entire marriage rested on one evening. Reps also dismissed the reports and stated that the couple was doing just find and there were no troubles. File this one under reaching-for-gossip-because-its-Friday.

Rihanna was the musical guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live this past weekend. Girl can sing, there’s no debating that, but um… her performance was kind of off. Not to be mean, but this definitely wasn’t her most shinning moment.
Despite her lackluster performance, I am still looking forward to her new album in a couple of weeks!

So naturally when her vocals were a bit shaky at moments during ‘California Gurls’ some critics dubbed her performance “terrible” and some took to Twitter to mention that auto-tune is her best friend.
