Stephen Colbert Explains Absence – VIDEO

Stephen Colbert denied the world of witty banter that includes making fun of the Pope’s hat and poking fun at the democratic donkey for two days. (That’s not meant to be as dirty as it sounds.) The Comedy Central king was briefly M.I.A. for filming which led to whispers that the show was done.

Colbert gave a brief explanation after returning on Monday that ‘The Colbert Report’ was not cancelled or suspended as rumors theorized. He was actually with his 91 year old mother, but didn’t give much info on her condition and simply mentioned that “having 11 children makes you tough as nails.

Stephen Colbert Republican Presidential Primary – VIDEO

Tag this with a wholelotta awesome. Stephen Colbert has handed over control of his Super PAC to give the presidential run a try.

“I’m proud to announce I plan to form an exploratory committee to lay the groundwork for my candidacy in the United States of South Carolina. With your help and with possibly the help of some outside group that I am not coordinating with, we can explore taking this country back … Thank you, God bless you, and God bless Citizens United.”

Well, technically its an “exploratory committee.” We shall see how this goes. Until then Jon Stewart will take the proverbial reigns of the PACmen.

Jon Stewart has announced his “Rally to Restore Sanity.” He plans on meeting in Washington at National Mall in a more sane, less shouty/stabby rally for sanity. The purpose? “It will be to give the 80 percent of the country who usually have s**t to do” a chance to rally … but for sanity, not rage.” The slogan will be “Take It Down a Notch for America.”

Stephen Colbert then announced that he will lead a counter rally called “March to Keep Fear Alive” and take on Stewart’s “creeping reasonableness.”

Stephen Colbert Shaved His Head – Photos

stephen-colbert-shaved-head

My boo Stephen Colbert shaved his head for the sake of our troops overseas. It just makes him more butch and sexy.

Colbert finally went trucked his entire show to Iraq after weeks of promising a visit overseas on Friday. “Operation Iraqi Stephen: Going Commando,” has finally happened. The show, which airs on Comedy Central tonight, is the first non-news television show to be produced, taped and transmitted to the U.S. from a combat zone.

He didn’t walk on eggshells either. Stephen was his typical witty self and has kept the soldiers laughing. He even went as far as shaving his head and now bears the typical military buzz cut.

Per USA Today:

“After a semiserious interlude in which Odierno told Colbert his declaration of victory might be a bit premature, Colbert asked the general how he thought Colbert would fare in his Army.

Odierno responded that Colbert had too much hair to be a soldier. At that point, President Obama was beamed in on a large projection screen and ordered Odierno to give Colbert a trim.”

He will be taping 4 more shows this week and proceeds from iTunes downloads from this week’s episodes will be donated to the U.S.O.

Stephen Colbert Slams Glenn Beck – Video

My boo, Stephen Colbert, attacked Glenn Beck on his show. The “Colbert Report” is one of my favorite entertainment venues. (Yes, I am biased thanks to the fact that my male equivalent is hosting the show.)

Stephen ripped Beck and his 9-12 project by focusing on his hypocrisy and over the top fake crying to build a career at the hands of those effected by 9/11. Glenn’s project is a dedication to help rise again, but not for the families of the those lost that day.

Via Huffington Post:

“This is horrible to say, and I wonder if I’m alone in this,” Beck said on his radio program that day, “you know it took me about a year to start hating the 9/11 victims’ families?” Glenn said on his radio show. “I don’t hate all of them. I hate probably about 10 of them. But when I see a 9-11 victim family on television, or whatever, I’m just like, ‘Oh, shut up!’ I’m so sick of them because they’re always complaining. And we did our best for them.”

Colbert then mocked the New York Times lackey:

“Yes, the 9-12 project is not for families directly affected by 9/11, just people building their careers on it.”

Well said boo. Well said.

Stephen Colbert Challenges Kanye West Video

I adore Stephen Colbert. He and I are soul mates and we also share a hatred of Kanye West. If he has a unhealthy obsession with Tim Gunn, shoes and buckets of booze…we may very well be twins.

He calls out his fans to buy “A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!” in order to dethrone West from his perch on Mount Ego.

It’s all in good fun, but seriously people….Wednesday December 3rd. But Colbert’s Christmas shiz.
