Woman Gets CRAZY ‘Twilight’ Back Tattoo – Pics

*Sorry darlings. Images were removed per the request of some stingy attorney.*

An obsessed ‘Twilight‘ fan in England spent 22 hours under the needle getting a GIANT tribute to the film tattooed on her back featuring what appears to be not one, not two, but three different versions of Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen, two versions of Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan, and only one image of Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black! 49-year-old Cathy Ward got the tattoo because she “wanted a permanent reminder of the amazing series.” She also plans to get her arms done before her 50th birthday this summer. Ward used Stephenie Meyer’s books and the movies as a reward system for losing weight. After she dropped 14 dress sizes in six months, she rewarded herself with the art.

Per Daily Mail:

She plans to save £2,000 more to spend another 12 hours under the needle as she eclipses her whole torso with the gothic tribute.

‘I love Robert Pattinson. I want to tone up so I can get his character Edward Cullen on my stomach. The way I look at it I could be spending the money on going out drinking and eating but instead I’m spending it on something I am really passionate about.’

As big of a ‘Twilight’ fan as I am, I can’t say that I would want a huge back tattoo like this, but it is well done. Kudos to woman for her new life post weight-loss!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Die in Added ‘Breaking Dawn’ Scene

I love you Twihards. You are all adorable in your naive and angst-y teen ways. So hate to upset you by bashing the series, but…

An insider who claims to have read the script for ‘Breaking Dawn’ is adamant that several scenes have been added to film in the hopes to make it better then book was. *SPOILER ALERT AHOY!*

In the final installment of the Twilight saga, Bella and Edward have a half vampire/half human baby named Renesmee. It is a big giant no-no to make baby vampires and a fellow vampire runs and tells the Volturi that the Cullens are breaking the law. The entire clan comes ready to destroy the coven and you expect a lot of action. In the book they all make nice and go home. SNOOZE. In the film, Alice shows the leader of the Volturi a vision of what will happen if they precede in a war. Many would die including Bella, Edward, Carlisle, Aro along with Jane.

Via Celebuzz:

“Alice touches that head [Volturi] guy. When she touches the [Volturi] guy he ’sees’ what will happen if he continues his course. So, the first person whose head comes off is Carlisle. In the vision. Then everything goes to sh-t and all kinds of dying happens. And Bella and Edward kill Aro. Bella and Edward, they die too. All these other people die, too. Jane and her brother. Lots of deaths on both sides. Then the [Volturi] guy snaps out of it, says he’s sorry. Everybody makes up and lives happily ever after.”

I think that this is something the Twilight author, Stephenie Meyer, should have thought of.

Twilight Secret Meanings Revealed by Stephenie Meyer

You either love Twilight or hate it. I love it, but for very different reasons than your typical fangirl who sleeps with a Team Edward pillow and has pledged her virginity to Robert Pattinson.

The author of this sparklepire saga reportedly explained some of fans’ burning questions when it came to details of the series.

Every wonder why the name Edward was used?

“While trying to choose a name for
the dashing ‘veggie’ vampire, author Stephenie Meyer was looking for something traditional and romantic. Edward was a perfect choice as it belongs to two great literary romantic heroes, Mr Rochester in Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre and Mr Ferrars in Jane Austen’s Sense And Sensibility.”

How about where she plucked the name Isabella from…

“After Stephenie had finished writing about Bella’s journey, she felt she loved her much like a daughter. So when the time came to name her lead character, what could have been more fitting than the name she’d saved for a daughter of her own, Isabella?”

That answer sounds a bit odd. Wouldn’t she have had to START the book with the name Isabella? Don’t question the crazy machine Cara. Even the Volturi surname was explained.

“‘Volturi is the Latin word for vulture, a predatory bird that feeds on decaying flesh. The name is a perfect match for the sinister and high-powered Volturi Coven who, unlike the Cullens, feed on human blood,
as well as overseeing the vampire world from their base in Volterra, Italy.”

As for werewolves imprinting…she took that idea from ducklings.

“When a werewolf imprints on their soulmate, the two are eternally connected through love and a desire to protect each other. Stephenie has explained that her inspiration for this concept came from the behaviour of ducklings. A new-born duckling very quickly develops a powerful instinctive bond towards the first moving object it sees, which in most cases is their mother.”

And the sparkle factor…

“This was an unusual idea as in previous tales, vampires were destroyed by sunlight, not illuminated by it! Stephenie decided that sparkling skin could be used as a means for the vampires to lure in human prey. As well as this she has explained that sparkling vampire skin cells are ‘hard and reflective like crystal’ and therefore unbreakable and protective.”

Betty White In ‘Breaking Dawn’?!?

Seriously, how awesome would that be! And we’re not the only ones to think so, either! Remember Robert Pattinsons’ Betty White crushhere)? Well now Pattinson answer’s E! Online’s off-topic question of if he’s open to casting White in ‘Breaking Dawn‘.

R.Pattz didn’t miss a beat when we asked him at the Eclipse premiere if he thinks White should be in BD. “Definitely,” he said. “She can be the baby.” The baby he’s referring to, of course, is Edward and Bella’s daughter, Renesmee.

Kellan Lutz was thinking along the very same lines, but with a little more of a twist.

“Oh, my gosh,” Lutz said. “I love Betty. I would love for them to do what they did in Benjamin Button with her and she can be Renesmee. I would change some scenes up so we could have Jacob and Emmet going for her. I want to work with her. That would be so much fun.”

Julia Jones, who plays Leah Clearwater, had just the opposite idea about how to feature White, suggesting she play Bella’s “great-great-grandmother in a flashback scene.” Even the Twilight saga author Stephenie Meyer agrees that the film’s producers should find a place for White in the final films.

“We have so many vampires in Breaking Dawn, surely she can fit in somewhere,” Meyer said. “Wouldn’t it be amazing if she was like just sitting there with a big group of the Volturi? That would be amazing.”

Is there anyone out there who doesn’t love Betty White? Yeah, we didn’t think so!

‘Breaking Dawn’ Officially Announced As Two Movies

Twilight fans rejoice! Summit confirmed yesterday what every Twihard and her cousin already knew – Summit will pull a Harry Potter and split “Breaking Dawn” into two films, with Bill Condon directing both, and shooting them back to back, with part one slated for a November 2011 release.

Per Hollywood Crush:

Los Angeles, CA, June 10, 2010 – Summit Entertainment confirmed today that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will be released as two separate films with the first of the two slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011. Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan as well as returning members of the Cullen Family including Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.

The project, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer producing. The TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will start production in the Fall.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

Summit was reported to be considering doing to films about the final book in the Twilight series but had to sign up key stars for the movie, because two films weren’t part of the original negotiations for the series. Pattinson and Stewart negotiated their deals quickly, but Greene and Lutz held out for more money (read about that here.) It looked for a time like they might be replaced, but finally agreed to a compromise. Condon promises to make the movies into something sexy but suitable for kids. I can’t wait to see how they handle the honeymoon and birthing scene in the movies as the latter was pretty disturbing in the book. The biggest question now is where in the story the first film will end and where the second film begins.

There is no release date given for the second film yet, but given the urgency we can only guess it will be the first half of 2012 or, at the latest, late 2012. But that’s of course just a guess. Yes, Twilight-haters…. This means you’re not even halfway through the phenomenon yet!

Kellan Lutz and Ashley Green Recast in Breaking Dawn ?!?

Summit was hasn’t had an easy road filled with butterflies and rainbows when it has come to making the Twilight saga. When word spread that the books were being turned into movies and Robert Pattinson was cast as Edward Cullen, fans were unhappy with the choice. Of course we all know Sparklepants now rules the Twihards and heals the blind simply by running a hand through his unicorn mane.

It appears that there might be more casting drama. Summit is having trouble reaching deals with select members of the cast. Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene might be recast. Kellan, who plays Emmet Cullen, and Ashley, scored the role of Alice Cullen, are holding out for bigger paychecks.

“Deals for Peter Facinelli (who plays Carlisle Cullen) and Billy Burke (Bella’s father, Charlie Swan) are done, but we’re told the actors who play the Cullen kids (especially Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are trying to sink their teeth into bigger paydays that, at least at this point, the studio behind the billion-dollar franchise is unwilling to provide. “We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point,” says a source close to the deal-making.”

Could this be a more of a promise than a threat? Absolutely. Summit hasn’t been shy when it comes cast changes…

-The role of Jacob Black was up for grabs after concerns that Taylor Lautner would not be able to carry the transformation from normal 15 year old to a 6’7” tall, muscle bulging man within the time between ‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon.’ After months of living at a gym, Lautner kept the role. (Click HERE to read who was nearly re-casted as Jacob Black).

-The role of Victoria also changed after ‘New Moon’ was filmed. Rachelle Lefevre was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard. Summit cited scheduling conflicts whereas Rachelle felt differently. She admitted to being “stunned” that she was replaced over a ten day overlap. Eyebrows raised and rumors spread that Summit wanted a bigger name for the villain role and tapped Bryce for the job and Lefevre’s agents were demanding big money.

Lutz and Greene are continually growing in the popularity chart as both have become household names. Both feel that they can command a bigger slice of the Twilight profit.

“We’re told that the offers from Summit — which are said to be at least 10 times what the actors made on the first movie — were deemed “offensive” given the mega-money the franchise has generated.”

The price tag for making ‘Breaking Dawn‘ is a concern. While the author, Stephenie Meyer, has signed off on the book being broken into two films, it’s not an official and done deal. However, insiders say they would be “shocked” if it was put out as one film. Summit is also entertaining the idea of filming in Louisiana to save on costs. A deal is currently being worked out and the state is eager to have the bragging rights and lure for Twihards which would equal a huge profit.

At this point contracts have already been inked for the three main characters played by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner so Summit has the upper hand.

Robert Pattinson’s New Comic Book!

robert-pattinson-comic

After hitting Comic Con last year to promote “New Moon,” Robert Pattinson will now have a more legitimate reason to be there. Per E!:

“I chose to conceptualize A-lister Robert Pattinson from a unique perspective, immersing the reader into the life of the talented actor beyond his most famous role,” Sherman says.

The 32 page comic book isn’t slated for release until May, but E! News has shared their exclusive first look at the cover. Lady GaGa will kick off the first issue of the comics, with stars such as 50 Cent, Taylor Swift and David Beckham to follow suit.

Stephenie Meyer, May Do Another ‘Twlight’ Book – Oprah Videos

stephenie-meyer-on-oprah

The ‘Twlight Saga: New Moon’ pimping onslaught has begun. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are all making the talk-show rounds this week in anticipation for the movie’s release this Friday.

However, only the Mighty Oprah Winfrey was able to score an interview with ‘Twlight‘ author, Stephenie Meyer. The episode, which aired Friday, was pretty upbeat and Stephenie was quite chatty, even letting us know what she thinks about the choice of Pattinson to play the beloved vampire, Edward.

As for the question on Twi-hard minds eveywhere: Will there be a fifth book? Meyer gave a rather unclear answer.

Via MSNBC:

“I can’t answer it. The way I write, it’s what makes me happy. Like, I can’t write when people are looking over my shoulder. I am a little burned out on vampires right now. I think I need a little break. I might go spend some time with my aliens. I might do something completely different. I’ve got to cleanse the palate. I may come back to it. I did envision it as a longer series. But I wrapped ‘Breaking Dawn’ in a way that I felt satisfied with, so if that moment didn’t come, I’d be OK.”

Don’t worry kids, she’ll be all over that book once the hype…and money runs its course. Meyer was in the process of working on ‘Midnight Sun’ (the original 5th Twilight book) when the first 12 chapters leaked to the internet. It was basically the first installment of Twilight through Edward’s persepective. (Click HERE to read more on that.)

“When we were first doing the casting for this, I knew the problem was going to be Edward,” Meyer said. She said that Pattinson has “something about him, he doesn’t look like everybody else, there’s something unusual.”

Meyer didn’t seem sold on Pattinson taking the lead until she saw him in costume.

“I got on set, and he’s in makeup and in costume… all of a sudden he’s Edward. There are moments when he looks exactly like he did in my head.”

She even let’s us in on Sparklepants’ personal hygiene.

“He smells great. Rob is hilarious… he’s really fun to hang out with. He’s not at all like the Edward character… He’s so different as Rob. The eyes, the facial structure. He just doesn’t look like everybody else. In a very good way.”

Stehenie Meyers “The Host” To Be Turned Into A Movie

the-host-by-stephenie-meyer

Author Stephenie Meyer has more than just the phenomenon that is “Twilight” under her belt. Producers Nick Wechsler and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz, anted up their own money to buy the screen rights to Meyer’s novel, “The Host” and have hired Andrew Niccol to write the script and direct the movie.

Per Variety:

“We want Stephenie to be involved in the adaptation and have her endorse and be part of the creative decisions,” Wechsler said. “Twilight” has “proven she knows more about what works than most.”

The book is about an alien race whose souls have taken over the planet, inserting themselves into their human hosts by erasing their minds and taking over. There’s a girl named Melanie Stryder who is not so willing to let the aliens take over her mind, and this Wanderer starts feeling what Melanie does, and wants “to locate the last pocket of surviving humans on Earth.” Before this week, Meyer’s had rejected numerous studio inquiries about the novel but was charmed by “a significant offer, a strong vision for the project, and a collaborative spirit.” Comic-Con geeks get prepared — if this has half of the impact as “Twilight,” then you’re in for quite the treat.

Stephenie Meyer’s ‘Breaking Dawn’ Plagiarized !?!

breaking-dawn-book-cover

Stephenie Meyer is being accused of plagiarism. “Breaking Dawn” is the only book in the “Twilight” series currently in question. According to Jordan Scott, Meyer’s fourth book of the vampire saga is a ripoff of her book, “The Nocturne.” Scott has sent a cease and desist letter to stop any and all further publication of “Breaking Dawn.”

***Spoiler Alert***

Scott claims to have started her book in 2003 and published various chapters and passages of her book on her website until it’s completion and publication in 2006. “Breaking Dawn” was published in August of 2008. Around 14 pages of the letter detail the nearly identical scenes and their book passages. The wedding, post wedding sex and the scene where Bella is turned into a vampire are just a few of the accused instances of plagiarism.

stephenie-meyer

This is the first time Stephenie has come under plagiarism rumors. Several rumors that she stole the concept from college roommates and other various friends and acquaintances have run rampant before. However, this rumor comes with a genuine cease and desist letter from the publisher’s attorney. Of course TMZ got a hold of it. Click here to view the document. Reps for Meyer call the claims BS.

“The claim that ‘Breaking Dawn’ by Stephenie Meyer somehow infringes on an alleged book by someone named Jordan Scott is completely without merit. Neither Stephenie Meyer nor her representatives had any knowledge of this writer or her supposed book prior to this claim.”

What do you think? Is it pure coincident that quite a few pages of the book are very similar to Scott’s book? Or do we have a case of fame leeching?
