According to TMZ, Don Cornelius was found dead in his Sherman Oaks home. Cops are calling it suicide.
Courtney Love: Frances Bean Turned Down Bella Role in ‘Twilight’

Um…ok. Courtney Love is releasing more ramblings about her daughter Frances Bean. Despite Frances saying STFU and getting the court system involved, Love continues to talk about her as though nothing were wrong.
During an interview with the Daily Mail, she claims that Frances was offered the role of Bella in the ‘Twilight’ films along with a role as Alice in the fairy tale remake.
“Frances is so beautiful, but she doesn’t want to be famous. She was offered the part of Bella in the Twilight movies, and Tim Burton wanted her for Alice in Wonderland. But she wants to go to college: she’s very good at graphic novels. [...] Frances will be fine, it’ll be fine.”
She follows this statement with an admission that she attempted suicide.
‘I had an episode a few weeks ago where I attempted to jump out of a window.’
Then Love further states that she is Scarlett Johansson’s friend and states that she is interested in playing the role of Courtney in a biopic being thrown together.
‘Scarlett [Johansson] is my buddy. She wanted to see the script, so I’d much rather have a friend do it. I’ve seen her dress up as me: she tried on a slip, everything was perfect.’
I am ready to see Robert Pattinson’s take on this. I am sure after calling her a “dick” post Kurt Cobain biopic feud he might have some colorful retort on this.
Alexander McQueen Found Dead in Apparent Suicide

This is one of those stories that make you drop your coffee and yell “WHAT?” Alexander McQueen, who went by the name Lee, was a forty year old man and a supernova in the fashion world after climbing the ranks in just 3 years of being a full-fledged fashion house.
His mother, Joyce, passed away last week and it took a terrible toll on the fashion mogul. McQueen was due to unveil his latest creation at Paris Fashion Week in just a few weeks. He was found dead in his Mayfair home. It is said that he hanged himself.

‘On behalf of Lee McQueen’s family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand, has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family. Lee’s family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this.’
Despite his mother’s death, he seemed to be slowly recovering. Hints from his Twitter suggest he was trying to forge on.
On February 3rd, he wrote: ‘I’m letting my followers know the my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx…
Moments later, he added: ‘But life must go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
Then on Sunday, he said: ‘Sunday evening been a ****ing awful week but my friends have been great but now i have to some how pull myself together and finish with the HELLS ANGLES & PROLIFIC DEAMONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
He appeared to have recovered slightly by this week. His final message, posted on Tuesday, said: ‘I’m here with my girl annie tinkerbell wishing kerry the ****,happy birthday in NY, your 40 now girl time to slow it down we think.’
How terribly sad. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to his family and friends.

Despite Reports, ‘Scrubs’ Actor Zach Braff NOT Dead

Despite the dinnertime shrieks of “OMG Zach Braff killed himself! I read it on Twitter!” that you might have heard, the actor is very much alive and well! Reports that the “Scrubs” actor had died of an apparent suicide have been spreading like wild fires yesterday, with the news even being reported on a fake CNN site and becoming a top trending topic on Twitter. The headline of the article said “Beloved Scrubs Actor Found Dead In His Home” and claimed he was found with an empty pill bottle by his side. The news of Braff’s so-called death was first reported on the hoax CNN page, which actually looked quite genuine, while another article appeared claiming that Braff had died while shooting a film in New Zealand. Thankfully, these turned out to be not true. However, if you did a little browsing on the fake CNN page it clearly gave away the hoax – all of the “top stories” on the right hand side were from 2007. Braff posted a video on Monday to his personal Facebook page, disputing the claim and calling out the person behind it.

“There was a big Internet rumor today that I was dead … that I OD’d on some pills. It’s not the case, I’m here at ‘Scrubs’ shooting the new ‘Scrubs’ title sequence, which is a little bit like dying, so I guess that was semi-accurate. A couple of inaccuracies you should have noticed when you saw the thing, if you believed it — the dude said I was found in my 32,000 square foot estate in Beverly Hills – but I’m not Oprah! That’s a big house! I just want to say to the douchebag who started this: You win my first ever douche of the day award for making my mom upset!”
Chris Laganella of New Jersey seems to be the lucky winner of that award. He has since removed the fake CNN page post and replaced it with an apology and explanation that I don’t quite understand. Laganella writes that he made the spoof page in 2007 for friends and fellow fans of “Scrubs,” but somehow it was made public without his knowledge.

“So let’s just clear some stuff up. I did not make this page to intentionally fool everyone on the internet. I didn’t expect it to even be made public. Ever. I’m sorry if I scared everyone out there. Zach, sorry if you got offended by me posting a fake suicide about you on the internet. Your 32,000 square foot house would be pretty empty without you. Thanks for (apparently) taking it lightly, since I haven’t gotten a letter about a lawsuit yet. Just so you know, I’m a huge fan; that’s the only reason I made this page, believe it or not. Also, sorry for upsetting your mother.”
There’s a new one of these fake troll-inspired death rumors every week. I think only school kids are fooled by it any more. Sometimes it’s the oddest celebs, which the pranksters do on purpose to make it more believable. While we’ve debunked this one, its only a matter of time before the next one pops up.

Mischa Barton Called Fat, Told To Lose Weight

Are you kidding me? Mischa Barton, the latest celebrity to undergo a 5150 hold being placed under involuntary psychiatric care, has been ordered by the bosses of her new TV series ‘The Beautiful Life‘ to slim down – quick! Being known to have struggled over her weight in the past, Mischa was reportedly shocked to tears when she was told she needed to lose at least 10 lbs for her role as a model.

“She knows that means they are calling her fat behind her back. She knows she is heavier than she needs to be but to hear it like that? it really shook her. How can Mischa play a model when she’s looking so heavy? She’s broken down in tears more than once before shooting. It’s a lot of pressure for someone who is just out of hospital.”
Despite being upset over the demand, friends insist Mischa is determined to shed the pounds as fast as possible for her role. But isn’t it way too soon for the troubled actress, who was reportedly on the brink of suicide just a month ago, to be working again under all of this pressure especially when her weight was a big source of her anxiety? Lets all hope Mischa loses the weight in a healthy way!

David Carradine Found Dead

In a terrible twist of shocking news, David Carradine was found dead in his hotel room this morning.
The 72 year old “Kill Bill” star was in Bangkok filming his latest movie. Filming began on June 2nd and when he didn’t show up for dinner on June 3rd the crew and friends assumed he was just resting in his room at Park Nai Lert Hotel.
A hotel maid stumbled upon Carradine around 10 a.m. this morning half nude and bound in rope. One report by BBC states that rope was around his neck and “other parts of his body.” (Everyone experiments so don’t judge.) Most are reporting that he committed suicide. However, questions are being presented and an official cause of death has not been established.
He had been found in a closet which leads me to believe that this wasn’t suicide. Police are leaning towards suicide and say that he had been dead for more than 12 hours and could find no sign of fighting or assault. They also stated that he had been hung by a cord from the room’s curtains. Meanwhile his agent insists that he “was full of life, always wanting to work… a great person.”
What a terrible tragedy and a great loss. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his loved ones.

Spiderman’s Lucy Gordon’s Suicide

We at Hollywood Dame are sad to report that British actress Lucy Gordon has died. The Spiderman 3 star took her own life at her home in Paris, she was 28.
After making her debut in movies in 2001, the model turned actress starred in nearly a dozen other movies, including a few that are still in post production stages. Her latest film, a French film based on the life of late singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg, is currently screening at the Cannes Film Festival.
Her father spoke of his daugther telling Times of London:
“We have always been immensely proud of her and her achievements. We love her so much. She was called Lucy and she has lived up to that: she has been the light of our lives, me and my wife Sue, and daughter Katie. She was a lovely, generous, unselfish person who gave her all for others and thought of others before herself… She has been the most beautiful daughter. We are obviously devastated.”
In the Gainsbourg film, Gordon played 60s actress and singer Jane Birkin. Such a great talent. Our hearts go out to the loved ones of Lucy.

Kal Penn (Kutner) Leaves ‘House’ for the White House

So I don’t typically touch base on my adoration for the best show currently on tv right now, but “House” is my crack and may or may not have a Hugh Laurie fetish. Moving along….SPOILER ALERT! If you are a “House” fan and haven’t seen last night’s episode STOP here
Last night we were treated to a turn events that has been a brewing rumor all year. The suicide watch had theorized that 13, played by the stunning Olivia Wilde, would be the one to kill herself. Last night that theory was shot to hell. Loveable and underrated Kutner was the one commit suicide.
It’s a permanent loss to the show. Unfortunately it’s not one of House’s bad dreams or a drug induced hallucination. Kal Penn has left the show. Strike that, he has left the acting field completely. He told Ausiello of his departure from film and tv is due to his desire to do something else. His ‘something else’ is working at the White House. No joke kids.
“I was incredibly honored a couple of months ago to get the opportunity to go work in the White House. I got to know the President and some of the staff during the campaign and had expressed interest in working there, so I’m going to be the associate director in the White House office of public liaison. They do outreach with the American public and with different organizations. They’re basically the front door of the White House. They take out all of the red tape that falls between the general public and the White House. It’s similar to what I was doing on the campaign.”
Sad to see him go but it was a delicious ending for his character. This is why I adore the show. Coming up on “House”….Cameron and Chase break up and according to Ausiello there is a “twist” after the two split. In previews for future episodes Cuddy confronts Cameron and point blank asks her if she is in love with House.
Ooooo….ahhh! Knowing this show, she and 13 will be having a sexual tryst resulting in a turkey baster baby. Doubtful, but one can only hope.

Paula Abdul Haunted by Goodspeed’s Suicide

Leave it Drunky to seize an opportunity for press even at the hands of a fan who committed suicide.
Paula Abdul was so distressed at the news of a former fan’s body being found outside her house that she refuses to return to the home. The dumb bitch even hired “healers” to come and “cleanse” the house of the spirit of Paula Goodspeed.
“[Paula Goodspeed] was a deranged stalker who sent her death threats. Paula instructed guards to keep Goodspeed away from her at all costs,” said a source. “She refuses to stay at home because she fears that the spirit of Goodspeed is haunting her house. She feels like this is the absolute worst omen, a really bad curse . . . Paula is suffering. It is well known that she is emotionally fragile.”
Oh cry me a river. This is the most crap ridden story I have ever come across. Of course reps for Abdul state that the claims of devastation are lies.
A rep for Abdul said, “There’s no validity to this. She’s been home since the incident happened. There’s no issue with spirits. Paula is shocked and saddened by what transpired. Her heart and prayers go out to the Goodspeed family.”
Meanwhile I am sure she is finding comfort at the bottom of a Tanqueray bottle. Don’t worry for Abdul. She is like a pinata full of booze and codeine.

Paul Abdul Update: Paula Godspeed Video

So before I was a bit cold. I know. I am heartless at times, but you love it. However, this poor girl that killed herself outside of Abdul’s home was a former “American Idol” contestant. Her name was Paula Godspeed. She obviously didn’t make it to Hollywood.
Sad. Very sad. There’s a little less tacky in the world.
