Britney Spears Shows Target Her Belly, Buys a Parakeet – Photos

Ah, yes. Target. It’s the land of the clearance Isaac Mizrahi sheets and home of the cute shower curtains. Brit Brit also loves her some Target. She loves argyle sweaters for under $20 so much she has been there two days in a row.

On Tuesday, Britney Spears shopped for a Michael Jackson CD in a long white sundress. The following day she showed her midriff while wearing pink Uggs from the Land of Fuggery. Seriously, I think she stole them from the closet of an 8th grader. After leaving Target she went and bought a parakeet. Maybe she is going to free it in a symbolic gesture of her own desires. Who am I kidding? She is going to teach it to say “K-Fed is a dirty whore” and “Two packs of Marlboro Reds and a case of Red Bull please” then launch it into the world to do her bidding.

Anna Sui Designs ‘Gossip Girls’ Line for Target

Ok…so I admit that I am not a Gossip Girl fan and could only stand 3.7 minutes before thinking, “I’m not getting paid to watch this shiz. Ooo! Jimmy Johns is still open!” However, I dig the name Serena van der Woodsen as I was once branded with the name Anabelle Beaverhausen. (Long story on that one kittens.)

Regardless, the show has a following and apparently Anna Sui is a fan. The designer is creating a line for Target that encompasses the style of the show. September 13 through October 17th a select 250 Target stores will feature the collection.

Via WWD:

“I have always been a fan of designer partnerships with mass retailers,” said Sui. “I think it is a great way to bring fashion to everyone. I love Go International and was intrigued with Target’s new take on designer partnerships. It’s a fresh approach. I was able to select a muse or source of creative inspiration to focus the collection around.”

Sui is known for producing fashion collections that are more accessible to the everyday woman on the street. So I am predicting this will be a wise venture.

Ashley Paige to Design for Target

Who doesn’t love Target? It’s like a classier version K-Mart.

Ashley Paige will be showing Target some love. The L.A. based swimwear designer is taking her talent to their bathing suit section. Currently there are two names the line will be labeled. Paige is considering either “Ashley Paige for Target” or “Bikini Love.” Of course the line will hit stores before this summer. You will enjoy 11 choices that capture Ashley’s style.

WWD Confirms:

“[The line] includes at least two in her signature crochet style and one monokini, according to an Ashley Paige spokeswoman. “It is really colorful…[and] is based off of Ashley’s classic pieces.”

Ugh. While I am excited for the summer to return, I am not happy about having to duct tape myself into bikinis. Meh….a little chicken coup wire, glue and a tan and we’re in business.
