Hollywood's Grand Dame of Gossip and Style
Sweet knit jersey! Tim Gunn is practically a virgin. The 58 year old Fashion Jesus revealed that he hasn’t had sex in 29 years.
The topic of re-activating your sex life came up on ‘The Revolution’ and Tim confessed that he has been celibate ever since a long term relationship abruptly ended.
Aw, no more soap operas. (Besides “Days of Our Lives” I didn’t know they still existed.)
ABC has canceled ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live.’ The network has ended the shows and replaced them with two programs aimed at reality based topics. One is called “The Chew” and will be a live food based program hosted by Mario Batali, Clinton Kelly, Carla Hall (Top Chef HootieHoooo!) and Michael Symon. The second is a lifestyle series called “The Revolution” with transformations done by Tim Gunn, Harley Pasternak and Kimberley Locke.
“All My Children” made its soap opera debut in 1970 following the 1968 launch of “One Life to Live.” AMC will end in September and OLTL will say goodbye in January. ABC Daytime President, Brian Frons, confirmed the double cancellations and talked about how change is always hard…

We are taking this bold step to expand our business because viewers are looking for different types of programming these days. “All My Children and One Life to Live are iconic pieces of television that have made an indelible mark on our culture’s history. Each of the shows has touched millions and millions of viewers and informed the social consciousness. It has been a privilege to work with the extraordinary teams who brought the residents of Pine Valley and Llanview to life each day, and we thank the cast, crew, producers and most especially the fans for their commitment to the shows through their history.”
Susan Lucci also weighed in on the loss of her start as Erica Kane.
“It’s been a fantastic journey. I loved playing Erica Kane and working with [show creator] Agnes Nixon and all the incredible people involved with All My Children. I’m looking forward to all kinds of new and exciting opportunities.”
On September 22, 18-year-old Rutgers student Tyler Clementi committed suicide after his roommate broadcast an online video of him having sex with another guy. The story devastated Ellen DeGeneres so much that she made a tearful statement about the incident, as well as bullying in general. Since then, there have been a slew of high-profile efforts to bring awareness to the issue.
Asher Brown, Seth Walsh, Billy Lucas, Raymond Chase … These young men also committed suicide over the past few weeks because they were bullied for being gay. These teenagers were the targets of constant harassment and verbal and physical abuse leaving them to feel alone in the world, and like they had nowhere to turn. Since then, numerous celebrities, such as Daniel Radcliffe, have spoken out against the bullying of gay youth, while others like Perez Hilton, have filmed their own “It Gets Better” videos.

Celebrities from all over have been lending their voices of support to the “It Gets Better” project this week. From DeGeneres to the stars of The Vampire Diaries to Anne Hathaway and Tim Gunn, famous faces want to tell all victims of bullying that there is support out there and as dire as the situation may seem in high school, middle school, or wherever they are at the moment, the future is bright.
Celebs are urging troubled teens to seek professional support if they are being targeted. The video starts out with all the celebs saying the tag line: “It gets better.” They go one to urge that even in the darkest times, there’s always hope through The Trevor Project, an organization that is focused on providing crisis and suicide prevention efforts for gay teens with a confidential, toll-free 24-hour suicide hotline (866-4-U-TREVOR) with trained counselors for gay and questioning youth. In addition to the hotline, they offer a variety of online resources, including a chat option if you want to talk to someone over the computer.

Yes mommy! Tim Gunn is the fierceness and doesn’t sugar coat anything except his morning grapefruit. He has been big pimpin’ his new book Tim Gunn: Gurl You Betta Recognize! (aka ‘Gunn’s Golden Rules’) and everyone wants a piece of Fashion Jesus.
E! talked to him about his guest appearance on “Gossip Girl” and of course he was painfully truthful about that annoying ball of LOOK AT ME!, Taylor Momsen.
“What a diva! She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself ‘why are we all being held hostage by this brat? I’d say, ‘You know young lady, there are hundreds of thousands of girls who are just as attractive and even smarter than you. Why are you acting like this show is a huge burden on you?’ She was on her phone during every break, I wanted to tell her, ‘If you weren’t on your BlackBerry, you can retain this stuff.’ ”
“I learned from teaching to stick with the topic, I don’t get involved in character appraisals,” Gunn explained. “I’d just ask her ‘do you want to share with me why you’re always on your phone?’ At one point the director leaned in and whispered to me, ‘this is day in, day out, my life.’ She annoyed the entire crew.”
Gunn still managed to have a good time on the Gossip Girls set and sang the praises of Penn Badgley. Tim dubbed him a “delight” and said the rest of the cast was fantastic as well.

My beloved silver fox, Timm Gunn has been making his annual run through New York fashion week to promote his new Bible, I mean book, “Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making It Work.”
He also took time to shoot a cameo for the show “Gossip Girl” and hasn’t held his tongue when describing his dislike for GG star Taylor Momsen.

The only man alive aloud to berate Anna Wintour…Fashion Jesus, Tim Gunn. I adore him so be nice.
The loveable Tim Gunn has been big pimpin’ his new book ‘Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons For Making It Work’ on various shows. He hit Regis and Kelly’s show and left a note for Kelly that said “Gurl, eat a cheeseburger. I can see your heart beating through your no-chest. Hugs, The Gunn” (It’s a possibility.)
He also paid a visit to ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.’ On both shows he talked about calling Anna Wintour out for demanding to be carried down 5 flights of stairs after snubbing an elevator. I can’t blame her. My niece calls them floating stinky fart boxes. After sharing the story, Wintour’s minions demanded that Tim retract the story and apologize. To this demand he snapped his fingers and said “Bitch you betta recognize. Tim Gunn doesn’t lie.”
The subject came up again on ‘The Daily Show’ and Tim once again stood by his story and only apologized for implying that Anna didn’t know how to work a Manolo.

Gunn has never been shy when it comes to calling out divas. I literally started a slow clap when he called out Gretchen for being a manipulative wench on ‘Project Runway.’
If Tim Gunn is the fashion Jesus leading the way with his silver mane shining like a beacon of hope in women’s style, then Anna Wintour is Beelzebub. She isn’t shy about being a total control freak and making models weep while designers cower at her Proenza Schouler pumps. So, Tim may get away with sharing his stories detailing Wintour’s diva demands in his new book, “Gunn’s Golden Rules.”
One in particular involves Anna being carried down several flights of stairs by two bodyguards. While at Peter Som‘s fashion show at the Metropolitan Pavilion in 2006, Tim witnessed Wintour’s refusal to use the elevator.
“I was with a colleague from Parsons, and we had been discussing the will-she-or-won’t-she-take-the-elevator question, so we ran over to the elevator bay to see if Anna would deign to get on. She wasn’t there. Then we looked over the stairway railing. And what did we see but Anna being carried down the stairs. The bodyguards had made a fireman’s lock and were racing her from landing to landing. She was sitting on their crossed arms.
I ran to the window to see if they would put her down on the sidewalk or carry her to the car like that. They carried her to the car. And I thought: I will never forget this.”
Of course, Vogue minions refused to validate the story and simply stated:
“Tim Gunn has a very vivid imagination. There is no truth to any of this.”
I am guessing Anna was hovering over Vogue’s rep with the heel of her stiletto against their temple. Either way, Tim Gunn is going to wake up with headless mannequin in his bed tomorrow morning.
And the claws come out!
It seems style guru and my personal ‘mo boo, Tim Gunn isn’t feeling the Kardashian sisters’ fashion sense.
After unveiling the first of five lines the trio designed for Bebe at last month’s fashion week, Gunn had nothing nice to say about how the clothes made him feel.

“I just think the Kardashians have an absence of taste and I don’t think that that should be perpetuated. I’m sorry I’m sounding like an old farty, snob, but it bothers me.”
He didn’t stop there. While making an appearance on the Joy Behar Show, Gunn let some more words about the sisters slide.
When asked what he thought about their clothes, he stated:
“[They] may have some sexiness to it, I find it’s largely vulgar.”
Kardashian sisters, please listen. Gunn is not the bitch to cross in the fashion industry.
Here they are the next season of Project Runway hopefuls. The move to Lifetime is official and the seventh season will begin on January 14th. The city of choice will once again be New York. Let’s hope the return to the Big Apple will bring some new life to the show. I am still trying to forget how dull last season was.
