The 2011 Emmy nominations were announced this morning. I was sleeping off a hangover resting after rescuing a kitten a pack of wolves, but Hollywood rolls on.
Glee, Modern Family, Mad Men dominated the list and the great Peter Dinklage was present! Big Bang Theory, The Office and Saturday Night Live were also peppered throughout the nominations. Property Brothers (mah new obsession largely for impure reasons) was snubbed along with RuPaul’s Drag Race. Life is unfair.

‘The King’s Speech’ won more accolades while Natalie Portman dominated, once again, for her performance in ‘The Black Swan.’ ‘The Social Network‘ may have taken home the Golden Globe for Best Film, but the movie left empty handed at the 2011 SAG Awards.
The SAG Awards are really like celebrities giving each other high fives in the form of fancy trophies. Speeches were also filled with praise for the actors union and Portman credited her education to the guild.
“I’ve been working since I was 11 years old, and SAG has taken care of me. They made sure I wasn’t working too long and made sure I got an education while I was working.”

Anna Paquin Marries Stephen Moyer

After a yearlong engagement, “True Blood” co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were married at a private home in Malibu at sunset Saturday, which seems appropriate for the stars of a vampire series. Paquin reportedly wore a halter-neck gown and Neil Lane jewelry, and had her hair up for the seaside ceremony, which was held at a beach villa in Malibu. Moyer had on a dark suit – but really, who ever cares what the groom was wearing?
Per People:
“It was a beautiful evening to get married and the sunset was gorgeous. Anna and Stephen seemed very excited to celebrate their wedding day,” a source tells PEOPLE.
Paquin and Moyer exchanged vows at sunset before friends, family and colleagues, including “True Blood” creator Alan Ball, and co-stars Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesleand, and Carrie Preston. Non-vampire and shape-shifter celeb guests included actors Elijah Wood and Michael Emerson. After the ceremony had finished, Stephen reportedly stripped down and went for a swim in the sea with several friends while sporting “a huge smile” on his face. Guests also danced to a band that played guitars on the beachside deck as they celebrated their way into the early hours of the morning.

Alexander Skarsgard Fully Nude Rule

As I mentioned, I am not a baller and I am not blessed with HBO, so “True Blood” is beyond me and grasp of television goodness. Skarsgard creeps me out, but lots of you will chase him around with your panties around your ankles begging for an autograph. As a result, here is some Alexander Skarsgard naked-ness for you. Vanessa Carlton Confirms She Is Bisexual

Singer Vanessa Carlton has ‘outed’ herself as bisexual at a gay and lesbian festival in Nashville, Tennessee over the weekend. Previously linked to John Mayer and Third Eye Blind rocker Stephan Jenkins, Carlton made the announcement while headlining the Nashville Pride Festival at the city’s Riverfront Park on Sunday.

“I’ve never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman,” she announced to a crowd of 18,000.
Carlton is joining a group of musicians and celebrities have also recently revealed their sexual preferences. “True Blood” star Anna Paquin admitted last april she was bisexual in a public service announcement for the ‘True Colors Fund‘ (read about that here.) In March, Ricky Martin announced he was gay (read about that here) while Chely Wright became one of the first country music stars to come out as a lesbian in May (read about that here.)
Good for you. It’s awesome you feel comfortable enough in your own skin to reveal this. But if you really want to impress us, go write some good music.

Anna Paquin – better known as Sookie Stackhouse to “True Blood” fans – has been keeping a little secret that may be quite surprising for some people. In the new public service announcement from the True Colors Fund, Anna Paquin has come out and admitted that she’s bisexual.
Per Us:
The True Blood star says “I’m bisexual, and I give a damn,” in a new online public service announcement for the Give a Damn Campaign, aimed at promoting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality.
People close to Paquin, who were at the shoot, did not know she was going to make the statement, and came as a total surprise to them. Paquin, who is engaged to co-star Stephen Moyer, quietly made the revelation during a top-secret taping earlier this year and joins the campaign alongside Clay Aiken, Elton John, Jason Mraz, Whoopi Goldberg, Cyndi Lauper, Sharon Osbourne and many other celebrities who “give a damn” and proclaim their sexuality in the clips.

Evan Rachel Wood and Alexander Skarsgard: True Blood Hook-Up Part Two

Evan Rachel Wood and Alexander Skarsgard are now bumping uglies. Seems the ‘True Blood’ co-stars didn’t want Anna Pacquin and that other vampire guy to get all the publicity.
According to D-Listed, the two have kept in on the down-low for some time. However, the two were seen this past weekend in the street of New Orleans where Skarsgard is currently shooting the film “Straw Dogs” with hottie Kate Bosworth. Hmmm…perhaps Ms. Wood was a little worried?

“If this…is true, you know Evan Rachel Wood only went on ‘True Blood’ to lick on Alex’s piping hot Swedish meatball. I really have to stand up and applaud her ass for that. [She] saw the goods and she got ‘em. That is how it’s done.”
Although Skarsgard is slightly greasy for my taste, I have to admit that anything is better than Marilyn Manson and Mickey Rourke, Wood’s last two romances.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Wedding Plans Fight – UPDATED!

Our friends over at Betty Confidential have shared this little diddy with us. Apparently it isn’t all rainbows and butterflies to the recently engaged Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.
The “True Blood” stars are arguing over wedding plans. Specifically the location of the nuptials is causing a repeated fight.
“The insider reveals that the lovebirds, who live together in Venice, Calif., are planning a small wedding with family and friends next spring. “They will probably only invite some of the crew from the show and Alexander Skarsgard [who plays Eric], who Stephen is very close with, and Rutina Wesley [Tara], who Anna is close with,” says the source.
“Most of their friends are from outside the show. Anna can be pretty snobbish on the set, so no one expects many cast members to be invited. Anna wants to tie the knot in Hawaii if possible, but Stephen wants it in Los Angeles. So, their plans are tentative right now.”
Lets hope their lover’s quarrel ends on a happy note.
