‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2’ has broken box office records with a staggering $475.5 million worldwide opening weekend. Of that, $92.1 million was opening day of which $43.5 million came from midnight showings. It has dethroned ‘The Dark Knight’ as biggest opening weekend in history (America). The Batman sequel previously held the title with a U.S. opening of $158.4 million. HP7 Part 2 also smashed ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Friday night haul of $72.7 million by an astounding $20 million.
