Ol’ Sparklepants can’t pick a glitter booger without a herd of Twihards shanking each other for it. The stress of being the constant center of worldwide manhunt has Rob doing all he can to shed his Twilight fame.
Robert Pattinson reportedly told OK! (via MTV UK) that he is already working to disassociate himself from his role as Edward Cullen.
“When you’re really successful you pay a certain price. Especially because I’ve been so successful with Twilight I will probably have to prove for the next 10 years that I am more than just Edward.”
Along with his woes of typecasting, he misses the simple things in life.
“The other day at a dinner. I was told I would be sitting next to a table with 18 people and my first thought was, ‘Great, probably a mob of teenagers’. But it was 18 Asian children and they didn’t know who I was. It was the most relaxed dinner I’ve had in ages.”
Pattinson threw out the idea of focusing on music during an BBC Radio 1 interview.
“I’d like to start performing again because I haven’t done it in so many years now. It makes such a difference in your life. If you’ve ever done it once it’s very addictive.”
“The Water for Elephants” is known for showing up to random pubs on open mic nights to perform as well as singing a song for the soundtrack of the first installment of ‘Twilight.’

It’s the time of year when Oscar winning movies take on teen favorites in the MTV Movie Awards. Already announced, SNL’s Jason Sudeikis will host the show on Sunday, June 5th. Justin Bieber is even up for an award!
Fans and industry members voted Taylor Swift as the Academy of Country Music’s entertainer of the year at Sunday night’s 46th annual ACM Awards, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, while televised on CBS. Swift played her new single, “Mean,” the sharp-tongued response to some of her haters, playing on a fake backwoods front porch with accompaniment from an old-style string band with fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar and a six-string banjo.
“For me, with the entertainer of the year award, I see the face of Shania [Twain] and Garth [Brooks] and my heroes,” she told PEOPLE after snagging the honor. “To be among them – it just means so much.”
Lady Antebellum also took major ACM awards with top vocal group and album of the year for the multiplatinum song “Need You Now.” The Band Perry, a bluegrass-rooted family trio, was voted in as overall best new artist over best new solo artist winner Eric Church.
For his part, Brad Paisley seemed genuinely surprised when he won best male vocalist over Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, George Strait and Keith Urban. In the moments after the announcement he seemed taken aback by being named as country’s top male voice, as if the award was too much. (Paisley opened the show with “Old Alabama,” a song that found him borrowing lines from Alabama’s “Mountain Music.”)
“I am honestly shocked. This is way too many of these for me,” he said of his fifth consecutive trophy in the category. “I don’t want to know who got paid what,” he quipped, quickly adding, “No, it’s all very fair.”
Award shows tend to be as much about the performances as the actual awards — or even more so. The ACM awards pushed the envelope more than most… at the 45-minute mark there had been seven songs without a single award being handed out. Hoping a genre-crossing appeal will improve ratings and possibly expose non-country fans to the music, producers paired Rihanna with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles for a performance of Rihanna’s latest single, “California King Bed.” While the two had obvious chemistry, their voices didn’t blend so well.
The crowd at the MGM arena jumped to its feet when Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler joined Carrie Underwood for a rendition of her heavy rock tune “Undo It” and Aerosmith’s classic “Walk This Way.” But when Tyler sang, “So I gave her just a little kiss, like this,” she pulled away at the last second and grinned.
The show also teamed veteran singer-songwriter James Taylor with the Zac Brown Band for a performance segment and lined up Ryan Seacrest, actress Reese Witherspoon and “Twilight” actor Robert Pattinson to be among the award presenters. Miranda Lambert made the most trips to the podium, earning four awards last night, honored as best female vocalist, and her hit single “The House That Built Me” was named both single and song of the year. The song snagged video of the year as well.
Entertainer of the year nominee Aldean even worked a couple of country rap interludes into his “Dirt Road Anthem.” Among the awards handed out before Sunday’s telecast, Reba McEntire was honored for career achievement and Swift collected the Jim Reeves International Award, which recognizes country performers who spread the music worldwide. The Tex Ritter Award that goes to movies that emphasize country music went to the Gwyneth Paltrow starring “Country Strong.” Garth Brooks took another ACM Award, even though he released no new recordings during the eligibility period, as one of two recipients of the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award, which also was given to Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers.
McEntire hosted the show for the 13th time, bringing Blake Shelton on to co-host with her. Much of the pair’s banter during the show centered on Shelton learning to do the job, which he handled for the most part with ease and humor, while taking a jab at Miley Cyrus.
“Eric Church has a big hit this year with ‘Smoke a Little Smoke,’” Shelton, 34, told the audience. His punch line? “I heard it was about Miley Cyrus.”
Shelton also poked fun at Swift’s breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal, and made low blows to LeAnn Rimes’ marriage issues. However, a Charlie Sheen joke did sneak its way in there eventually when Blake said that the MGM Grand was so big it would take Sheen forever to trash it. He then noted that since that statement was “not a joke,” he didn’t break the “no Charlie Sheen” rule that was playfully put into effect at the beginning of the ceremony.

Robert Pattinson talked with MTV about his less than sensual sex scene with Reese Witherspoon in ‘Water for Elephants.’ The ‘Twilight’ star, he will always be Sparklepants to me, revealed that he had a nasty cold while filming the drama.
Per MTV Via Deadbolt:
“I’m not generally that awkward doing stuff apart from when I’ve got my belly coming out, but my nose [was] running all over the place! Reese had this wig on and I was literally wiping my nose on her wig. We’d be doing this really passionate love scene and I had to be [wiping my nose]. It was so stupid!”
If Reese were smart she would have bottled that snot and made a fortune on eBay from some Twihard wanting his DNA.
FYI – Reese married Jim Toth yesterday! Click HERE for the ceremony details including who got snubbed from the invites list…

I was going to title this one “Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s Affectionate Wedding Photos,” but I didn’t want to wake up with the decapitated cardboard cutout head of a Robert Pattinson in my bed nor do I wish to be responsible for sending some Twihard into a panic induced rage.
The two Twilight stars attended a wedding of a mutual friend together and looked couple-cozy in some candid pics. Pattinson and Stewart pose with their arms around each other as Rob leans in close. In another photo, he affectionately cradles her cheek as she beams back at him.
I also threw in Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon’s Entertainment Weekly cover because it looked like Reese was posing with a cardboard cutout of Rob and it gave me a post lunch giggle.

*SPOILER ALERT*
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s characters finally make sweet, sweet Sparkle love in the final film of the ‘Twilight’ series. Finally, because I feel odd getting bored in the theater and yelling, “Just hump and get it over with already! First times always suck.” This leads to Bella getting knocked up with a hybrid vampire/human baby that has to be chewed out of the womb. (Yes, this shiz actually made gobs of cash.) The birth scene in ‘Breaking Dawn’ is pretty much insane and triggers your “Ew! Really? This is happening?” response. However, Pattinson confirmed the scene was filmed true to the novel…
Via Total Film:
“Yeah, I’ve done it,” Robert Pattinson laughed, “I’ve chewed it, spat it out! Just some of the source material makes it inevitably more different. It’s completely nuts, the book.”
Riiiiigggghhhht. I am going to leave it at that. As much as I want to go into the terrifying thought of placenta gnawing…full stop.

“Twilight” stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and the rest of the Wolfpack have been evacuated from the Vancouver Island beach area in British Columbia for safety reasons where they are filming the latest installment in the saga after tsunami advisories were placed early Friday after an 8.9-magnitude earthquake struck in Japan. Don’t panic Twi-hards – They are all okay!
Per People:
The actors are not believed to be in any danger, but for safety measures they apparently have been moved out of the region.
No significant impact appears to have been felt there, but the move was made as a precautionary measure. A mild tsunami has raised waters about a foot in the Queen Charlotte Islands, north of Vancouver Island, but no effects from the earthquake have been noticed on the island itself. They are shooting in a town called Tofino, which contains a long stretch of open coast. It is unknown at this time where the “Breaking Dawn” stars were moved to as a result. Tinsel Korey, who plays Makah Emily Young in the movies, tweeted “They’re evacuating us 4 a tsunami warning. If this this is my last my tweet. I love you. The end. Hugz. If this is the moment. Then I’ve lived a good life. And I’m thankful 4 everything I’ve been given. 1 love. I’m not trying 2 b dramatic!!! I’m just saying my peace. This is my truth right now. 1Love.”
Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who was vacationing in the tsunami zone in French Polynesia, was forced to evacuate the area early Friday. Meanwhile, the cast and crew shooting “Hawaii Five-O” are fine, as tsunami waves there have not caused any major damage thus far. Daniel Dae Kim tweeted Friday: “Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. My family and I have moved to high ground. Now we wait…” He later added, “Back at work, bleary eyed & heartsick, but very grateful. As far as I know, everyone is safe. Thx 2 all of you 4 your kind thoughts. Truly.”
The entire North American Pacific coast is on alert after the earthquake in Japan created a risk of tsunami for many different countries. The 8.9 magnitude earthquake – the biggest in modern Japanese history – slammed the island nation’s eastern coast Friday afternoon, unleashing a 23 foot tsunami that swept boats, cars, buildings, and tons of debris miles inland and prompting a “nuclear emergency.”
In the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, our prayers and concern here at Hollywood Dame go out to the thousands of citizens whose lives were impacted by this disaster or lost.

‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse‘ was one of the highest grossing films in 2010 dues to it’s cult following. However, not everyone think this series is cinema greatness. The awards for worst in film are coming up in February called “The Razzies” and Eclipse is nominated for 9 awards for the worst in film. Kristen Stewart is up for the Worst Actress trophy and the film’s lead male stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are set to battle it out for Worst Actor. Jackson Rathbone, who is part of the supporting cast for the vampire series is nominated for Worst Supporting Actor for two different films, Eclipse and ‘The Last Airbender.’
Per People:
Eclipse, which is also up for worst picture and worst screen ensemble, tied for the most nominations with M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, another worst-picture nominee. Rounding out the worst-picture category are ‘The Bounty Hunter,’ ‘Sex & the City 2‘ and the Twilight parody ‘Vampires Suck.’
Joining Stewart in the Worst Actress category are Jennifer Aniston for The Bounty Hunter, Miley Cyrus for ‘The Last Song‘, and Megan Fox for ‘Jonah Hex,’ while Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon received nominations for their roles in the second Sex and the City sequel. Sparklepants is fighting some tough competition for Worst Actor along with Jack Black for ‘Gulliver’s Travels,’ Gerard Butler for The Bounty Hunter, and Ashton Kutcher, who is nominated twice for his parts in ‘Valentine’s Day’ and ‘Killers.’
The Razzie Awards ceremony will take place one day before the Oscars on February 26th. You may remember that Sandra Bullock actually showed up to receive her Razzie for Worst Actress last year. She, of course, received an Oscar the same year for Best Actress as well. Now Twilight has the chance to shine at the Razzie Awards, but I’m guessing the cast will skip that one.
