The model catfight over the cover of 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue has ended. Irina Shayk has nabbed the top honor. She follows in the footsteps of SI cover models Kathy Ireland, Christie Brinkley, Cheryl Tiegs, Heidi Klum, Elle MacPherson, Tyra Banks, Petra Nemcova, Marisa Miller. Shayk is a 25 year old Russian who is currently dating Cristiano Ronaldo. Last year Brooklyn Decker went topless for the cover.

Tyra Banks recently pulled the plug on her talk show (in case you missed it, click here for a refresher), and it took little to no time for her employees to start talking about what it was really like to work for Tyra pre and post weave.
Apparently, TyTy was a bear to work for going so far as not even notifying the “little people” that the show was changing locations from LA to New York.
“There had been high turnover of employees for years,” a past crew member says, insisting that many people quit after just a few months because it was “pretty difficult to work for Tyra.”
“She and the higher-ups on the production staff could be extremely brutal,” the source says. “She really is a diva.”
According to Banks, she’s stopping the show to focus on her production company, i.e. “I wanna be in movies y’all!”

Tyra Banks is quitting her talk show to make the move to films. She is saying good bye to her job as cellulite inspecting, baby daddy finding, weave instructing, colonic supporting, Vaseline loving host to run a new production company at the end of it’s 5th season.
Banks will focus on the launch of Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company currently reviewing possible projects. Sticking to her mission, Banks aims to bring “positive images of women to the big screen,” says an industry insider.
She is sad to leave her digs on the talk show circuit, but promises to keep the fierce-force flowing.
“This will be the last season of The Tyra Show, I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years. My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are.”
Poor Joel McHale. My guess is that he is curled up in the fetal position crying at this news.

Creepy “America’s Next Top Model” alumni and designer to the stars has been sentenced to 59 years in prison for sexual assault. Anand Jon Alexander, who was a BFF to Tyra Banks among many others celebs, was accused, prosecuted and found guilty of crimes involving luring wannabe models. He would promise his victims a high profile modeling career in exchange for sex. Seven of his victims attended his sentencing and cried as he was damned to prison on Monday afternoon.
After asking for new trial citing juror and prosecutorial misconduct along with an inadequate defense. ( He had fired his attorney team in July and opted to represent himself.) Judge David Wesley was blunt and stated that Anand showed no remorse for his crimes and gave him the maximum punishment for 14 of the 16 charges. He was originally charged with 59 counts and his lawyers managed to scrap just over half the counts while jurors were deadlocked on several other charges.
One particular victim of Anand was brave enough to stand up and speak her piece before he was sentenced. In a disturbing confession the girl with dreams of modeling confessed her pain.
“I was 14. You took my adolescence, my trust, my dream and completely manipulated them for your sexual desires,” one of the victims said, reading from a statement.
This is just the beginning in his jail time. Alexander will be sentenced for other assault and related crimes in New York and Texas. Should he be charged and sentenced with more jail time it will simply add to the already accumulated 59 years.

Tyra Banks recently lost about 100lbs. How? Simple: she fired former super model Paulina Porizkova from ‘America’s Next Top Model’.
Porizkova revealed on ‘The Late Show’ with Craig Ferguson that she was currently in Los Angeles looking for a job after receiving the axe from the model search reality series.

“The reason I was fired, just to be fair here, the reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed that ‘America’s Next Top Model’ had gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me.”
Ouch.
Porizkova would not reveal who actually fired her but did inform the audience her sacking took place via a telephone call on her 44th birthday.
Apparently, Porizkova has a bit of an ego problem, and we all know there is only room for three egos on the set of America’s Next Top Model…and they all belong to Tyra.
“So I figured it was either that — I think that was a nice way of putting it and it could have been either that or my gigantic huge ego, which I wasn’t aware of before I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem.”
Porizkova joins other former models Twiggy and Janice Dickenson on the menu of the Tyra Banks Model Roadkill Café.
There are already over 23 known celebrity stalkers. Some of them are just crazy fans others are literally psycho crazy and sadly, have devastating and even fatal outcomes.
Most recently Jennifer Garner feared for her safety. She was granted restraining orders for her stalker who is a mental patient who boasts her involvement in satanic rituals.
The “American Idol” fan who took her obsession too far left her dead outside Paula Abdul’s home. Paula Goodspeed killed herself thanks to an overdose of drugs in her car outside Abdul’s home. She made hundreds of drawings of the “Idol” judge.
Sandra Bullock was the victim of another overzealous fan. Marcia Valentine managed to get onto Bullocks property on 5 different occasions. Valentine would leave palm fronds adorned with “weird signs” and “pieces of animal fur.” Sandra finally testified in court and her stalker was placed on probation.
John Cusack’s stalker has finally been arrested after violating her restraining order. Emily Leatherman was caught continually stalking Cusack after her cab driver reported her to police for failing to pay her cab fare.
Tyra Banks has an love sick fan that is beyond stalking. Brady Green was arrested after continued harassment including nonstop phone calls, letters, flower and visits. Green tried to make his way onto Tyra’s show with a bag full of memorabilia. He was arrested and release in late March of 2008.
What do Steven Speilberg and Jennifer Love Hewitt have in common? Stalker. A delusional stalker. Diana Napolis went ham sandwich crazy and accused Speilberg and Hewitt of “monitoring her life.” Napolis claimed they were part of a group that watches her 24/7. She was deemed incompetent after psychological evaluations.
