Shania Twain and Valerie Bertinelli Both Wed Over The New Year

The New Year has started off with a bang for both Shania Twain and Valerie Bertinelli. Both ladies were married over the weekend.

Let’s start with Shania Twain’s nuptials to her beau Frederic Thiebaud, shall we?

You can CLICK HERE for Twain’s wedding photos. The two wed on a Puerto Rican beach on January 1, 2011, just a few weeks after announcing their engagement.

However, things got a little shady as one of the wedding photos reveals the newlyweds had an armed guard at the ceremony which took place on a public beach.

“A guy who lives near the mansion where Twain tied the knot tells TMZ he stumbled upon the nuptials at the beach … and was quickly shooed away by several armed security guards. In the video you can see an a guard with a pistol tucked in his belt roaming back and forth while the ceremony goes on behind him. We’re told the security was so tight, if you wanted to walk past the wedding… you had to go into the ocean to get around.”

Also choosing 1/1/11 as her anniversary date is ‘Hot in Cleveland’ star Valerie Bertinelli. She wed her businessman boyfriend, Tom Vitale, at her Malibu home.

Bertinelli, likely best known for her marriage to rocker Eddie Van Halen, was engaged last May to Vitale. TMZ is reporting that her ex attended the ceremony.

Mackenzie Phillips to Reveal Family Secret on Oprah – Video

Most might have the need to google Mackenzie Philips to find out who I am talking about. I will save you the time. She was the daughter of John Phillips from the 60′s iconic band The Mamas and The Papas and she played Julie Cooper Horvath on “One Day at a Time.” You might also recognize her from” American Graffiti.”

Mackenzie will be on Oprah this afternoon sharing a “bombshell family secret” that she has been keeping for over 30 years. What isn’t a secret is Phillips’ one night stand with Mick Jagger. In a gag inducing admission, she stated that he seduced her when she was a 13 years old and told her, “I’ve been waiting to do this since you were ten years old.”

Fast forward to the summer of 2008. She was arrested at LAX for trying to smuggle heroin and coke on the plane. This wasn’t her first time in jail. In 1979 she was arrested for possession of cocaine. Her drug dependency ultimately cost her the role on “One Day at a Time.” She blames her father, who she claims first shot her up with heroin, for her drug issue.

So what is the Phillips Family Secret? I can’t imagine what is worse than injecting heroin into your daughter and then pimping her to a family friend.

Valerie Bertinelli Bikini Cover Mess

Valerie Bertinelli has landed herself on People magazine. The spokeswoman for Jenny Craig appears in her bikini on the cover at the tender age of 48.

Sure, she looks great. Kudos for putting the fork down. However, boo to People for a horrendous job at photoshopping. Unless they expect us to be believe her thighs are that jagged and the left side of her face is trying to run away, this is a crap job. She deserves better. I am hoping that this mess isn’t as obvious on the paper cover.
