Katy Perry Hooks Up With Russell Brand & John Mayer

Katy Perry was caught making out with Russell Brand after the MTV VMAs Sunday night, so I guess she likes kissing boys too! Perry was spotted sucking face with MTV Video Music Awards host at Lady Gaga’s VMAs afterparty, after the British sex-hound joked onstage that he had the hots for her.

Per NY Post:

“They were sitting very close together, flirting and whispering to each other with their faces very close. Then Russell leaned in for a long kiss. It didn’t look like this was the first time. He was looking extremely pleased with himself.”

She was probably just a little tipsy and his way of picking up women is to talk about them onstage. Perry was also rumored to have hooked up with John Mayer over the beginning of the weekend, locking lips with Mayer at Golds Bar. But what about her boyfriend, Travis McCoy? The thing we heard about Katy Perry’s love life was that she was reunited with her longterm boyfriend of the band Gym Class Heroes. Trouble in paradise already? Boy – Perry sure does get around! Is it time to mail a bio-hazard for her yet?

What Really Happened at the VMA’s: A Seat Filler’s Story

madonna-2009-mtv-vmas

While the majority of people were busy enjoying the douchery of Kanye and the tightness of Russell Brand’s lady pants, the rest of the world had better things to do. Some watched the season finale of ‘True Blood’, some watched football, and some went to bed early.

Although I am way too old to enjoy any part of MTV, I watched. Why? Robert Pattinson my friends….the boy makes it quiver.

A few lucky people had the job of a daytime (you know they are holding out on becomming celeb bloggers) by filling seats at last night’s festivities. And naturally, some of them have already taken to the internet to let us know what was really going down.

Via Oh No They Didn’t:

“*When Lady Gaga came in she was holding hands/being propped up by someone as she walked. She didn’t talk to any of the fans. She was extremely diva like, but in a good way. Instead of being pissed of or offended it was more like people were viewing as an art piece or a rare animal in zoo.

*The house band, I really wish I could remember their damn name, said and-I-quote “Is Tila Tequila here? Heh, tell her to go HOME!”

*Madonna’s “heartfelt” speech was all read off a teleprompter. Obviously.

*When Pete Wentz came in the Hall one of a male seat filler asked where Ashlee was he said Melrose wouldn’t let her take time off.

This adds to my theory that Gaga is really a wax figure on loan from Madame Trousseau’s.

“Kanye was taken aside after the Taylor Swift incident by his handler/manager and then MTV exes joined the conversation. Though I cannot say for sure, I would not be surprised if his apology was not heartfelt at all (cough) but in fact mandated from above. The TV feed does not do justice to how much the audience was booing every time Kanye’s name was said.”

If Kanye’s management wrote that crap he posted on his website, it might be time to purchase his team Hooked on Phonics.

Megan Fox is TINY like not just skinny tiny, but shoulder-to-shoulder tiny.”

One needs to be small to fit in the trailer park.

Ashley Greene kept pestering security to add someone’s number into her phone. They kept on refusing her, much to her chagrin.”

I really hope it wasn’t Kanye’s.

And finally…

“I have not seen the entire TV broadcast but Faye Dunaway was there (wtf?!)”

What? She is a classy and hip broad who probably is after Russell Brand. Just a guess.

Lil Mama Crashes Jay-Z’s and Alicia Keys’ MTV VMA’s Performance

The MTV VMA’s evening ceremony seemed to be full of unexpected stage invaders! Rapper Lil Mama, who is also a judge on the popular show “America’s Best Dance Crew,” decided to appear on stage unannounced and uninvited, during a performance by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, at last night’s 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Jay-Z just managed to keep his cool and carry on rapping despite looking surprised, trying subtly to get Lil Mama to take herself off his stage by tapping her on her leg, even throwing in a quick joke her way.

Per MTV:

“You T-Paining right now,” Jay-Z said, while Keys finished her chorus. The line refers to T-Pain jumping onstage with Jay-Z at Summer Jam during his “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” performance.

Lil Mama would not budge, and stayed onstage throughout the entire performance. It was during his and Alicia’s performance of “Empire State of Mind,” that Lil Mama, just got up from her seat, got up onto the stage and started bobbing her head to the beat. When the song was over and it was time for Jay-Z and Alicia to take a pose, Lil Mama decided to join in. She stood beside them and was even seen to do a b-girl pose right next to them.

First Kanye then Lil Mama? Who the heck was in charge of security last night? The impromptu appearances are quite entertaining but rest assured security will be a little tighter next year.

MTV VMA’s 2009 Winners List, Photos and Videos

After wasting over 2 hours of my life on the nuttery that was last night’s 2009 MTV VMA’s I bring you the highlights.

First Kanye West gave us all further proof he is a bumbling moron with no class. The “rapper” stormed the stage to take the mic away from Best Female video Winner Taylor Swift to announce that Beyonce should have won. From this moment on the show was tense and awkward. As did tried mentioned West’s name the crowd booed and began chanting Swift’s name.

The only one highlight in the show was the revealing of the extended “New Moon” trailer. It leaked to the net a few days before the show aired, but at least it was actually a decent trailer.

[MTV VMA New Moon Trailer – Video]

• Video of the Year: Beyonce Knowles – “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”
• Best New Artist : Lady GaGa – “Poker Face”
• Best Male Video: T.I. – “Live Your Live” featuring Rihanna
• Best Female Video: Taylor Swift – “You Belong with Me”
• Best Hip-Hop Video: Eminem – “We Made You”
• Best Pop Video: Britney Spears – “Womanizer”
• Best Rock Video: Green Day – “21 Guns”
• Breakthrough Video: Matt and Kim – “Lessons Learned”
• Best Video (That Should Have Won a Moonman): Beastie Boys – “Sabotage”
• Best Direction: Marc Webb – Green Day’s “21 Guns”
• Best Editing: Jarrett Fijal – Beyonce Knowles’ “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”
• Best Special Effects: Chimney Pot – Lady GaGa’s “Paparazzi”

• Best Cinematography: Jonathan Sela – Green Day’s “21 Guns”
• Best Art Direction: Jason Hamilton – Lady GaGa’s “Paparazzi

Lady Gaga also killed herself on stage as if things were weird enough. The bloody mess followed the Swift/West debacle so it was a bit overshadowed, but odd non the less.

Madonna also gave a speech clearly read from a teleprompter in honor of Michael Jackson.

More to follow!
