Emma Watson Takes Time Off Brown for Harry Potter

Emma Watson announced via her website that she is taking time off from school. This hardly comes as a surprise as she has taken on an astounding amount of work.

Aside from her growing acting career, fashion has been knocking down her door. Watson fronted a Burberry campaign, was the cover girl for mags like Vogue, Vanity Fair, Style and Elle. Aside from her face being on the cover of the top fashion mags, she also helped People Tree with a youth line to appeal to the younger crowd. On top of her efforts with the brand, she also collaborated with Alberta Ferretti on a collection due this Spring called Pure Threads.

Top it off with filming the final Harry Potter films and taking on two additional films (‘My Week With Marilyn’ and ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’), it’s amazing that she ever has time to sleep. So, in order to fulfill her work obligations she is taking time off from school on a temporary basis.

Hi everyone

As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible.

I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects. I will still be working towards my degree… it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought : )

Hope you are all well! Thank you for all your continuing support.

Emma xx

The demand for her time with the release of the final installment of the Harry Potter series will be intense. Plans for the press circus that will soon begin for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2‘ is rumored to be huge. The premiere is will take place in London’s Trafalgar Square on July 7 and is billed as being the “most spectacular” opening yet.

Tim Gunn Spills Anna Wintour’s Diva Stories

If Tim Gunn is the fashion Jesus leading the way with his silver mane shining like a beacon of hope in women’s style, then Anna Wintour is Beelzebub. She isn’t shy about being a total control freak and making models weep while designers cower at her Proenza Schouler pumps. So, Tim may get away with sharing his stories detailing Wintour’s diva demands in his new book, “Gunn’s Golden Rules.”

One in particular involves Anna being carried down several flights of stairs by two bodyguards. While at Peter Som‘s fashion show at the Metropolitan Pavilion in 2006, Tim witnessed Wintour’s refusal to use the elevator.

NY Post:

“I was with a colleague from Parsons, and we had been discussing the will-she-or-won’t-she-take-the-elevator question, so we ran over to the elevator bay to see if Anna would deign to get on. She wasn’t there. Then we looked over the stairway railing. And what did we see but Anna being carried down the stairs. The bodyguards had made a fireman’s lock and were racing her from landing to landing. She was sitting on their crossed arms.
I ran to the window to see if they would put her down on the sidewalk or carry her to the car like that. They carried her to the car. And I thought: I will never forget this.”

Of course, Vogue minions refused to validate the story and simply stated:

“Tim Gunn has a very vivid imagination. There is no truth to any of this.”

I am guessing Anna was hovering over Vogue’s rep with the heel of her stiletto against their temple. Either way, Tim Gunn is going to wake up with headless mannequin in his bed tomorrow morning.

Lindsay Lohan NOT Dropped from Label

Linday Lohan NOT Dropped from Label - 4

Lindsay Lohan might not be able to afford her nose candy much longer since reports have surfaced of her being dropped by her record label. The rumor states that after working for an year and a half on her album, Lindsay has been dropped by Casablanca Records. According to her reps, this isn’t true. Gossip Cop also states that reps for the label have also called crap on the drop story.

And a rep for Universal Music, the parent company of Casablanca, says she’s still on the Casablanca label, with distribution through Universal.

The struggling actress and wanna be fashion VIP is reportedly having trouble finding work that pays, as it has also been revealed that her high-profile work for the Ungaro fashion house has been mostly for clothing. While she reportedly paid for both her stay in Paris as well as her flight, she did manage to snatch about $100,000 worth of clothes in the process.

Per NYMag:

Though last week it was reported that Lindsay is working at Ungaro for free clothes alone, Moufarrige says she’s getting paid: Moufarrige won’t reveal her pay package, saying only that it is “quite enough. It’s expensive”. Given her unpredictability, it is also a risk. Her fragility, says Moufarrige, “has been factored in”. It needs to be.

However, sources have reported that Lindsay has been followed around by a camera crew lately, being followed by a camera crew in Paris at the Vogue party and later when she hit a ton of clubs around town. This is leading many to believe that she’s taken the reality TV high-road, just like many other washed-up, worn-out celebs have. There’s always plan B Lindsay – Sell your Ungaro clothes on ebay for the quick and easy buck. Those pills don’t buy themselves!

Michelle Williams Talks About Heath Ledger, Spike Jonze Break Up in Vogue – Photos

michelle-williams-vogue-october-2009-cover

Michelle Williams is rocking a pixie cut on the October issue of Vogue. The former “Dawson’s Creek” actress shared the screen with Heath Ledger and it forever changed her life. After loosing her once fiancé and father of her child she rarely opens up about the loss of Heath. Currently she is doing her best to pick the pieces up and move on. She talks intimately wit the mag across subjects about dating again. Williams was involved with director Spike Jonze after she began to move on from Heath, but the couple broke up.

“The timing was impossible. I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.” And dating with a kid? “I obviously don’t know how to do it.”

After keeping as much dignity and grace involving the man she will forever be tied to, Michelle explained her hatred of interviews post Ledger’s passing.

“I didn’t know what my boundaries were for a long time, which made interviews feel very unsafe. I can talk about grief, because that’s mine; about single parenting; about trying to balance work and kids. But what I don’t have to talk about is what happened between Heath and me in our relationship.”

A few more highlights from the Vogue October issue Michelle Williams interview:

Coping after Ledger’s untimely death: “I was holding it together by a string and a paper clip in the fall and winter. I didn’t know if I could keep it all together… You console yourself by saying it’s all a deepening process. But it’s wired. After the first year, the pain is less intense; it’s less immediate. But the magical thinking goes away too. And that’s a whole new reckoning. But every time I really miss him and wonder where he’s gone, I just look at her [Matilda.]”

The happy times: “‘Brokeback Mountain” was an unrepeatable moment in time, a very charmed time in my life. I was in love; I was in a movie I was proud to be a part of, and with a beautiful brand-new baby. Everything was good in that moment.”

Dealing with the paparazzi presence: “It’s because of this tragedy that there’s more paparazzi. That is hard to be graceful and understanding about… It’s hard to be the man and the woman in that [paparazzi] situation. Heath always used to do that for us.”

Falling in love: “I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.”

What the future holds: “I feel hopeful and grateful. For a while I thought we had lost everything. It makes you want to love better and liver better.”

Anna Wintour on ‘Late Show’ David Letterman – Video

On August 28th in New York, the Devil’s lair will be publicly seen. The making of the September issue of Vogue has been filmed and detailed in a documentary centering around the fabled Ice Queen, Anna Wintour. Personally, I deem her a fierce deity of fashion and she gets the job done with a set of lady balls the size of watermelons.

To promote the debut of “The September Issue,” she hit David Letterman to talk about fashion on a budget, the bench mark magazine and the documentary. He went and addressed the book turned film “The Devil Wears Prada” being about her dominatrix style of work. (We all know not to laugh at belts we see as identical. Move on.) She handled herself very well and even made a few jokes.

This is just me, but for the love of my new Gucci boots….why is Sienna Miller on the cover of such a huge issue? This is why I miss the days when models graced the covers of mags and not some washed up skank able to squeeze into leather pants staring blankly at me.

Lindsay Lohan Investigated By Police For Jewel Theft

Lindsay Lohan

There is never a dull – or legal, for that matter – moment in this girls life! Lindsay Lohan was in London recently for a photo shoot with Elle magazine when she allegedly took off with $45,000 worth of jewels that were on loan from a local jeweler.

Per Holy Moly:

“She kept going on about the jewels asking if she could have them. We all thought she was joking!” according to the source.

After the photo shoot, the jewelers realized their items were missing and promptly contacted the magazine bosses who insisted they had no knowledge of what happened to the missing loot. Both the editors and jewelers then spent the next two weeks trying to get in touch Lohan, but she left the U.K. last week without so much of a simple returned phone call. Because of her unresponsiveness on this, the matter was handed over to British police late last week and is now being investigated.

This is by far the first time Lohan has played ‘sticky finger’ with others’ property. Louis Vuitton bosses reportedly refuse to deal with her anymore after she repeatedly walked off with goods from past photo shoots. Rumor has it that she has supposedly yanked one too many products from their shoots to the point that they’ve blacklisted her.

Per Holy Moly via NYPost:

“Louis Vuitton had sent over some samples for her to wear in the shoot. Lindsay kept shoving the clothes into her bag, and a stylist’s assistant kept getting them out of the bag, only to have Lindsay keep trying to take them. She ended up walking off with a very expensive shirt and some other items – which screwed Louis Vuitton because they were set to go to Vogue, W, and Harper’s Bazaar for other shoots. They were furious and kept trying to get their clothes back, but . . . Lindsay walked out with them and never returned calls.”

Lohan was also caught up in a fur fiasco after allegedly taking home a Russian student’s $11,000 mink coat from a New York club last year. Owner Masha Markova claimed Lohan straight up stole her coat as she was leaving the private party. Lindsay first denied it, but was later caught red handed when a photograph of her wearing the stolen property was published in a magazine. After threatening legal action the coat was quickly returned to her.

As of right now, there is no official confirmation from the police regarding Linday’s involvement as of yet, but you can sure when there is we will be one of the first to gloat about it. Rehab, alcohol & drug abuse, stalking Samantha Ronson around London, and now felony theft… Wow. And at only 22 years of age. Quite the role model, huh?
