New Babies Join Ranks of Hollywood Offspring

Another day, another future Hollywood A-lister is born! Comedian Wanda Sykes is now the proud parent of twins! Her wife Alex gave birth to daughter Olivia Lou and son Lucas Claude on April 27th. The twins are the first children for Wanda and Alex, who were married last October.

Per People:

“All are happy and healthy and at home,” says Sykes’s rep Danica Smith.

Olivia Lou weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz., and was 19-inches long, while Lucas Claude tipped the scales at 7 lbs., 9 oz., and was 20-inches long. Wanda hosted the the White House Correspondents Dinner over the weekend, but managed to not slip up and say she now has two babies at home! How Wanda kept this secret for over two weeks is a mystery.

In other baby news, WNBA star Candace Parker has given birth to a baby girl. The Los Angeles Sparks player and husband Shelden Williams of the Minnesota Timberwolves do not wish to release their daughter’s name at this time, are hoping to share that tidbit with both sides of the family and close friends first. The baby girl weighed in at 7 lbs., 6 oz and 20″ long and is the first child for the couple, who were married in November.

Per The Associated Press:

“Shelden and I are thrilled,” Parker said in a release. “This is such a life changing moment for us, we feel blessed to have a healthy and beautiful baby girl.”

Candace says she plans to rejoin the Los Angeles Sparks once she receives clearance from her physician. The new season starts up June 6th. A new baby AND playing ball – thats going to be one tired mama! But then again, thats what celebrities get nannies for!

Also in the baby-headline news is is that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden will soon be the parents of a baby boy, who is expected to make his appearance in August. Joel announced the impending bundle of joy a few months ago on his bands personal website.

“Joel bought water-based paint for the nursery and — surprise, surprise — it’s blue,” reveals a pal of the couple, who adds that Nicole refers to the baby as “he.” “Plus, she recently ordered some plush animals and infant toys from FAO Schwarz, and everything just happens to be blue.”

The happy couple are already proud parents to a beautiful 16 month old daughter named Harlow. Whether the baby is a boy or a girl, judging from Harlow’s smile in all the paparazzi photographs floating around, Nicole and Joel are already pros at passing down their senses of humor.

Wanda Sykes Makes Obama Giggle with Rush Limbaugh Jokes

The recently out-of-the-closet comedian, Wanda Sykes, attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and offended over the half the guest list. She took to the podium in front of the President and bent Rush Limbaugh over after he made some ignorant comments regarding the current administration overseeing the United States of American.

Per Fox News:

“Rush Limbaugh said he hopes this administration fails, so you’re saying, ‘I hope America fails,’ you’re like, ‘I don’t care about people losing their homes, their jobs, our soldiers in Iraq.’ He just wants the country to fail. To me, that’s treason,” Sykes said.

“He’s not saying anything differently than what Usama bin Laden is saying,” she continued, before addressing the guest of honor, President Obama. “You know, you might want to look into this, sir, because I think maybe Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker. But he was just so strung out on OxyContin he missed his flight.”

Obama politely smiled and even went on to giggle as Wanda continued her bit.

“Rush Limbaugh, ‘I hope the country fails’ — I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? … He needs a good waterboarding, that’s what he needs.”

The Press Secretary of the White House, Robert Gibbs, was unhappy with her speech turned HBO comedy special. Probably not a smart move to involve the snarky bits for the conservative party. The President hasn’t officially commented, but most are outraged.

Wanda Sykes Confirms She’s Gay and Married – Audio

Huzzah for her! It was pretty obvious and her adoration for pant suits pretty much stated her preference, but officially coming out is the new debutante-sque thing to do. Besides you don’t get your Home Depot discount until you come out.

Wanda Sykes confirmed her lesbian-ism at the Las Vegas Prop 8 Gay Rights Rally.

““I thought, man we are moving in the right direction. And then at about 11 o’clock I was crushed. We took a huge leap forward and then got dragged 12 feet back. You know, I don’t really talk about my sexual orientation. I didn’t feel like I had to. I was just living my life, not necessarily in the closet, but I was living my life. Everybody that knows me personally they know I’m gay. But that’s the way people should be able to live their lives.”

Sadly, the ban on gay marriage passed and thousands of happy legal marriages were null and void. Hers was one of them. She managed to get married on October 25th without a world wide convention of press on her sexual preference. It is now a thing of the past as Prop 8 managed to find some crap sacks to support it.

“Now, I gotta get in their face. I’m proud to be a woman. I’m proud to be a black woman, and I’m proud to be gay.”

Good for her. She is right, truly it is none of our business, but it sharing her private life to raise spirits is a brave thing to do. In celebration everyone go rent “Monster In-Law.”
