Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman – PHOTOS

Say something nice…

Adrianne Palicki scored the role of Wonder Woman for an upcoming TV series. David E. Kelley is at the helm of the reboot which features Adrianne as a business woman by day and Wonder Woman whenever someone is in peril. (Click HERE for more of the series’ plot…)

The revamp has altered the iconic superhero’s image. Lynda Carter played the original WW in the 1970’s series. She wore a one piece leotard that was far less…plastic looking than this new creation.

I am far from a comic hero expert, but this mess looks like a stripper on a budget turned beauty pageant contestant. I did promise I would say something nice though…so…wow…she looks super…shiny.

Adrianne Palicki is Wonder Woman – PHOTOS

Adrianne Palicki is the new Wonder Woman. The ‘Friday Night Lights’ star has been cast as David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman reboot for a new tv pilot.

The superhero will be moved from the Amazon to LA and double as a “successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life” according to Deadline. Kelley is the man behind shows like ‘Ally McBeal’ and ‘Boston Legal’ so execs have high hopes for this series. What is more worrying is that Adrianne was the only actress considered for the part.

I hope I am wrong but this is going to be a DISASTUH. The girl looks nice enough but it looks like her super-powered accessories are now made of silicone.

Wonder Woman Make Over – PHOTO

DC Comics’ J. Michael Straczynski and Jim Lee have given Wonder Woman the gift of pants. Instead of wearing a flag turned glorified bathing suit, the crime fighting super hero will now wear a pair of smart trousers and a jacket.

Via Washington Post:

“In her more modern costume, Wonder Woman (a.k.a. Diana Prince, a.k.a. Lynda Carter) looks like a glamorous athlete instead of an unusually muscular Miss America who happens to fight crime. The sleek lines of the new wonder pants evoke sci-fi warrior agility, while the cropped jacket — with its studded epaulettes — adds rock star, Balmain flash.”

I always knew the real power was in my pants. The explanation goes on to reveal that another benefit of the change is gender equality.

“Now that she’s been given a pair of pants — that Western symbol of formalized male authority — it’s tempting to declare this makeover an advance in gender equity. But not so fast. In superhero-land, where everything is exaggerated, the boys are sketched with a nod to extreme masculinity. Batman’s suit, for example, gives the slender Bruce Wayne perfectly etched pecs. It was only fair that Wonder Woman’s leg-revealing briefs gave mousy Miss Prince a goddess’s sexy, lithe figure.”
