Britney Spears has reportedly walked out of ‘X-Factor’ auditions on the first day. This headline hardly comes as a surprise being that Britney…is…well Britney. She can demand a baby elephant wearing a cute lil’ hat and an army of interns will hunt down Dumbo in seconds.
According to the Prince of the Bowties over at E!, Jennifer Lopez is leaving ‘American Idol’ after giving the show two years of her life (which is like a decade in JLo years).
Lopez is busy riding around one of her dancers and planning a new tour with Enrique Iglesias. Britney is throwing all sorts of YOU IN DANGER GIRL! at this, but Casper Smart has already moved in with her and ordered monogrammed hand towels. Now, she wants to quit the show to focus on her kids, tour and her music career.
Well, like I mentioned yesterday, Simon Cowell has a formed a hot mess version of the X-Men. Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will join the judges panel on ‘X Factor‘ and attempt to fill the empty seats of Paula Abdul and Nicole Schwartzenwhatever.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, Demi Lovato was in talks to join Simon Cowell’s X Men. This morning, news of that the troubled teen has officially signed a deal with the reality show devil has hit.

Let’s take a girl fresh outta rehab and sit her next to Britney Spears on panel to judge a bunch of people desperate to make a career in music. It sounds like a DISASTUH that Dr. Drew would be tackling during sweeps, but Simon Cowell is tagging it with a whole lotta NOVEL IDEA OLD CHAP!
Britney Spears may be thisclose to finally reaching a deal with the devil. Brit’s manager, fiancé and conservator, Jason Trawick, was rumored to be deep negotiations with ‘X Factor’ to fill in one of the vacant spots on the judging panel. Things seemed to cool down and a rumor that Rihanna was their new focus stepped in. It appears the ‘S&M’ singer is out thanks to “a big breakthrough” in negotiations with Spears’ team this weekend. (Note: I doubt that RiRi was even being considered for the panel, but we will err on the side doubt.Perhaps it was a clever ruse by Simon Cowell?)
According to Deadline, the reality show is now willing to pony up a salary that could nab the ‘Circus’ singer a $15 million paycheck…
File this under very unlikely. Rihanna’s name has been added to the circus of celebrities rumored to be attached to the vacant judge’s spots on ‘X Factor.’

The show didn’t exactly deliver last season. By the end of its American debut, ratings were in the 3.4 range and had about half the viewers that Simon Cowell promised. The former ‘American Idol’ honcho once considered anything less than a 20 million strong audience a “disappointment.” The average numbers were in the 11 million range. (These numbers aren’t anything to send back to the kitchen and most networks would kick puppies for this kind of viewership, but they still failed to impress Fox.)
After Paula Abdul packed up her boot flask and sashayed out of the back door of ‘American Idol,’ the show began to circle the proverbial U-bend. Much of America lost interest without anyone to drunkenly mumble “Datsssh! Good singing! Be nicccce Simohn!” Even Simon Cowell missed her, got the sads, left the show to do ‘X-Factor’ and rehired her to be at his side. Apparently the reunited honeymoon is over and Abdul is once again out of a job.
Steve Jones, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula will NOT be returning to the talent show next season. According to Deadline they were all fired in spring cleaning style.
As with all projects, if you attach Sparklepants’ name to it, it will instantly see an upsurge in interest.
